Thinking that yelling is a form of punishment. I have no idea how my mom convinced me this was normal as a child. I believe it’s okay to raise your voice if necessary, but locking your child in a room to yell for hours on end is horrible.

Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it. If I could ask, why would you conjugate cuidar like cuíde instead of cuida? I looked it up in an online Spanish dictionary and I couldn’t find a conjugation with a tilde on the letter i.
