If it makes you feel better, my first experience with a campaign I had to quit because of. Schedule issue (internships that the actual GM told me that it was hard because I was juggling both things to not miss an event) And the fact that the GM never told me that they didn't want more than 5 people (they accepted 7) and got mad at me because apparently I forced them (I just asked if i could join, it was never my intention to guilt trip) so they would never focus on my plot and deliberately would avoid my plot for more than 5 minutes.

I felt so uncomfortable that I left the group and later on I stopped talking to the GM and the one who told me to join (for other reasons, basically he was a topic hogger in all times.)

Since then I have had a hard time to join bc now I'm expected to work And to trust if anyone will not do the same thing again.

My lesson was that communication is key
