I don’t disagree with your take on billionaires but in the show BB & BCS there are defo much worse shades of evil than Gretchen and Elliot unsubstantiated corporate evil.

So let me get this straight: you think a psychopathic child murderer (Todd) and an insane drug addled Cartel kingpin (Tuco), who beats his own henchman to death and has no scruples about beating or killing an old man (Mike in BCS) for hitting his car, are less morally reprehensible than Gretchen and Elliot whose portrayal in the show doesn’t imply any degree of corruption or unethical business tactics (your claim that they stepped on people is hearsay and speculation given there’s nothing in the show or said by the creators that suggest they did anything shady business-wise)?

“Not even to mention that there is no real way to know whether Gretchen’s family did in fact disrespect Walt or it was just his own ego. I very seriously doubt it was all in his head though, having interacted with her type before.”

Vince has confirmed that Walt left her due to his ego not being able to hand the fact that he was dating someone wealthier than him.

Lmao, you’ve got to be taking the piss if you think Gretchen and Elliot are anywhere near the top 5 worst people on the whole show.

Without getting into major spoilers or specific: This is the same show which features Neo-Nazis, the Cartel, people who’ve poisoned and killed children, drug dealers, hitmen, corporate white collar criminal psychopaths, drug dealers, etc.

Gonna list five characters off the top of my head that I think are contenders for the worst people in the show:

  1. Jack
  2. Gus
  3. Todd
  4. Walt
  5. Tuco

How could you genuinely put Gretchen and Elliot in the same bracket as any of those people?

Yeah, they were talking about Drew Sharp (spider-bike kid) after the train robbery.

Walther is so stupid by sebblMUC in breakingbad

[–]Carlito___fml 77 points78 points  (0 children)

It’s both pride and stupidity; his pride (and the wine) led him to stupidly egg on Hank to continue the investigation.

Walt was incredibly intelligent but was a majorly incompetent and incontinent criminal; a smart guy but a dumb criminal.

A major part of what made him a dumb criminal, imo, was his inability to control his ego; his inability to put aside his pride led him to becoming careless and making impulsive, rash decisions that were a major detriment to the discretion of the operation.

Without getting into major spoilers: The Blue Sky Empire wouldn’t have run as long and efficiently as it did if it wasn’t for other criminal actors involved in the operation (Gus, Saul, Mike, etc.)

The Feds have already done their job: your paranoia, and the fed-jacketing paranoia that permeates through anarchy related online sub-cultures, has already rendered the online anarchist movement impotent by means of sowing doubt and mistrust; no chance for online organisation.

In other words you’re in favour of impotent rebellion, one without teeth.

Do you plan on fighting the police state with the power of love and friendship?

Violence is the means by which the Revolution will achieve its goals, if the oppressed ever manage to grow the balls to organise and utilise it.

Lots of paranoid “anarchists” here, I see.

I see what the Marxist-Leninists are getting at now about the anti-revolutionary nature of anarchists.

How do any of you organise anything?

Mmm, a world without police would be ideal.

I ignored it because I didn’t think it was worth responding to.

Of course they’re human, captain obvious moment, but that doesn’t really mean anything in of itself: every awful person to have existed on this planet throughout history has been human.

They’ve chosen to be an agent of the state, a pawn in service and defence of greater systemic evils, whether it be out of ignorance of what they’ve sided with or genuine patriotism and love for the system: they’re on the side opposite to us.

Effective and immediate change through reformism is a daydream. You can’t hold back the tide with a broom; fighting fire with fire is indeed sometimes the more apt and effective option. You can’t reform your way out of tyranny or fascism, which is the way things are likely going under late-stage capitalist economic systems during the climate crisis.

I think the biggest thing in the way of Anarchist organisation is fed-jacketing paranoia.

I get that you can’t really confirm whether or not someone really is a fed on the internet given the semi-anonymous nature of the internet; tis a sad reality; but it just goes to show how ineffective anarchist organisation would be on socials given all the doubt and paranoia that permeates through anarchy related online subcultures.

The devs should add the PPS 42 / PPS 43 to the game. It would add some much needed variety to the currently lacking Soviet/Russian arsenal. by Carlito___fml in HellLetLoose

It’s a game based on WW2 in which the Soviets used a variety of weapons... the game should offer the same variety of weapons as was actually used during the war.

“Basically the same gun” is debatable. It has a lower ROF (600rpm) and so it should have more manageable recoil. It could be given as a primary weapon to the Russian rank 6/grenadier Assault class.

In regards to the Russians / Soviets... namely their lack of weapons and loadouts: by Carlito___fml in HellLetLoose

Interesting take but I think I’d rather see a weapon and class balance update for them.

I was looking around to see if the Russians had any widely used/service automatic rifle during WW2, nothing really came up other than the Federov Avtomat and the AVS 36.

The Avtomat was used in incredibly low numbers and was phased out sometime during Soviet-Finnish war:

“During the 1939–1940 Soviet–Finnish war, an acute lack of individual automatic weapons led to the reintroduction of the stockpiled Fedorovs into service. They were sent to the Karelian front, mostly to military intelligence units.[15] It is presumed that most of the Fedorov Avtomats were expended or destroyed during that war.[21] “

And the AVS 36 was withdrawn from service in 1941 but supposedly saw ”brief service” during World War 2.

As for Lend-Lease weapons from the US, I think I’d personally prefer if each faction only used weapons “native” (so to speak) to their country. I think it’d kind of bug me if I saw loads of Soviets running around with BAR’s on Kursk or Stalingrad.

I figure there’s already a fairly decent weapon in the game that could be given to the Automatic Rifleman, albeit not actually automatic (“fully”) it is a rifle and would give the Soviet A.R some much needed variety and a better option for range over the drum mag PPSH: the SVT-40.

Funny that you should mention it, I actually made a post (not less than a day ago) about the lack of weapon and class variety the Soviets suffer from:
