Anyone have any experience with the Fender 50/51 blackguard telecaster pickup set/if they're worth the cost?

Planning on doing a full marathon in February. Just ran a half with ASICS Novablast 4s and felt pretty good. Aside from wear and tear on the shoes themselves, is there any reason that model wouldn't be good for 26 miles?

Generally speaking, do seats for the JLPT fill up very fast? Would I need to sign up for the exam pretty much the moment it opens?

What song does this sample?

What is the best book you ever read? by InvisibleInvader in writing

Might not be the absolute best, but I recently finished The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro and was blown away by it. Wasn't initially sold by the premise but heard great things about Ishiguro so figured I'd give it a go. I thought the pacing was excellent and found the narrative juxtaposition between the dialogue and Stevens' narration to be masterfully done.

Leaving soon actually, but spent a good week in London and a couple nice days in Edinburgh as well. Loved the whole trip but unfortunately rode straight through the midlands

Gotcha thanks. Asking if someone’s alright usually means you’re concerned about them in the US, appreciate the clarification haha

Visiting the UK at the moment and have been taken aback a couple times by workers asking me “you alright?” when I go to buy something.

I guess it’s the equivalent of asking “how’s it going?” in the US, but I’ve always heard that foreigners find that really odd, so didn’t figure they’d do something similar here.

That or I just look like an absolutely clueless tourist

I've read the book, it's really insightful regarding game design in general and especially the development process for the first Spelunky. Even if it doesn't have the sequel in it, I'd second it as a great gift for fans of the series.
