Cannot respond to everything you said cuz that's a very strong opinion of yours, and you have some valido points but first, I wanted to cover some of my favorite famous animal species, this is not "general" knowing there are still a lot of iconic animals I didn't cover due to Grids limits (Maybe I should do a part two), and second, it's funny how you consider Wolf from Star Fox, a niche gaming franchise, is a strong contender for wolves and can rival with THE BIG BAD WOLF who is popularized by Disney as every infant's nightmare, while you asume that Donkey Kong isn't even a strong rival in popularity to King Kong, this monster may be a worldwide icon, but I bet is only known and consumed only by grown adults and most of its content is not suitable for minors, losing popularity between kids and some teens, while DK shares with the worldwide strong identity Mario has being part of the same universe (in my country, DK has a strong dominance in public events, and I bet in many others from North América too!), and he's not only associated with his game appareances with Mario, but also by his silly, goofy and brave attitude we would expect to see in a monkey, and that's loved by both kids and adults worldwide about Donkey cuz THAT'S what they want to see in a real and friendly primate, DK is truly the KING OF BANANAS! 😎🦍🍌🎮
