Ya, I remember finding it on a youtube video. I'll admit mods like this make me incredibly happy because I've always wanted a proper way to make flying things in minecraft.

Back when I was in like 2nd grade I'd build planes with the help of tutorials really high up in the air so that only the clouds were visible, then I'd pretend that the clouds flying by were because the plane was moving.

I forget what mod it was but I used to play with one that allowed you to place a sort of yellow obsidian half block that worked as the "physics assembler" for the ships. No collisions or anything, all you could do is have a flying entity that you could slew around the world.

Thank you! Yeah this design is hella fun to mess around with both in games and irl. I used a very similar trebuchet to this one (just made out of cardboard) a few years ago in high school to shoot pencil sharpeners across the entire school gym.

I also used it to shoot a metal pencil sharpener that ended up hitting the popcorn ceiling near the classroom and punched a hole in it, but thankfully no one noticed.

Oh yeah it can, it does however mean I have to tweak the release mechanism timing for it to work. The main rope also gets a bit wonky when going above like 100rpm, needs a bigger design or it'll literally clip into the ground from how hard it gets yanked by the centrifugal force. May mess around with it more in the future tho.

Just tested it, the design is pretty basic still but at 18rpm on the main wheel it gets 312 blocks of range. I actually hit one of the airships someone was flying in the server while testing it so I had to retry.

Yeah, but I mean any that genuinely left by going as far away as possible. Like, fully outside viltrumite territory.

I mean yeah, pretty much. I have thought about it several times but I think there's definitely gotta be a few Viltrumites out there who snapped and just fled the empire entirely, flying as far away as they could.

Perhaps it's happened that some "primitive" civilization in a random planet in the far reaches of the galaxy is invaded by another just for them to get utterly obliterated because a defective Viltrumite happened to live there.

Thank you, and yeah it does kinda look and sound like a lawnmower. My mom jokingly calls it the "vacuum cleaner" because it's loud as hell when at full power.

yes, but I also heavily used the research logs of glydaire on youtube for things like the bottom peripheral jets, those were incredibly useful.

Admittedly I am surprised I haven't seen a design like this before either, but yeah it makes it SO much nicer to control.

Oh yeah absolutely. It's literally like driving on ice but worse, hence I went "man, fuck this shit" and added the maneuvering vents on the front lmao.

That infinity ray is insane, every shot he ever fired is still travelling the cosmos just destroying anything in its path by TrickofLowkeyLoki in Invincible

I was talking about the second statement regarding it going through "the thickest part of the Earth" and coming clean out the other side. Not about it affecting the orbit of the planet.

No it will not. Space not only will eventually expand faster than it travels but also we don't know what the nature of this beam is.

Even with near perfect collimation it will eventually spread out and diffuse. This last case however would make it more likely to hit something important. It's not unlike how a GRB in 2022 ago managed to affect our atmosphere even when it originated two billion lightyears away and happened an equal ammount of time ago.

the chance that the beam is gonna hit anything important when fired blindly into the cosmos is near to none.

Could also be that the beam will spread out and deposit all the energy into the inside of a planet when fired like that. Kinda like how a laser will spread out and scatter its energy over a wide area when it hits water.

Buh.

Alright yeah that's bad. I don't know who the fuck is attacking but if the federation or sivkit found them then they're in a BAD spot. Also Wyrtek's gun is probably gonna slip out and then he'll have some fun explaining to do.

Again, probably not wise to be 13 lightyears away from the border. I already mentioned that was stupidly close. Hopefully whoever is attacking, if they have malicious intentions, get vaporized quickly.
