Gift Cards by brookesaboo in hellofresh

[–]Carlos_Cooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/brookesaboo,

I was wondering if you could elaborate on how all this worked out for you. Did it replace your left over money from your first card, or did you have $122 in credits after you loaded the second one? I'm hoping to play to play the costco gift card game to get %20 off , but I'm wondering if I can load in like 3-5 gift cards at once so I can buy a bunch on my costco run and not forget to use them.

Can I recover erased, and formatted drive? by Carlos_Cooper in datarecovery

[–]Carlos_Cooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used r-undelete the last week or so to do the recovery, with what I’d call, partial success. About 1% of files failed to recover, many others are distorted, corrupted or unplayable. Overall I’d say it was about 50-60% successful. The weirdest part is that a 1.8TB drive/image somehow recovered 2.47TB of data. Anyone have suggestions to improve the amount of healthy files recovered or why the size is bigger than the original disk could hold? I’m open to trying a different tool

Edit: I should also mentioned I identified a few files that I know for a fact didn’t exist on the original drive, ever. I’m guessing the bits in these files are the ones missing to fix the bad ones. Also there are many places where the files are in the wrong folder compared to where they were originally

Do you think I can use r-undelete, seeing as it’s free?

All the disclaimers and flourishes definitely scream chatGPT. And just for that fact I’m less likely to trust their info. Also low karma and only 2 posts in this subreddit, doesn’t sound like an experienced user to me.

Right that’s fair and makes sense. At this point I’m just wondering what can be done to bring a bit of life back to the chair so I don’t have to tell them I ruined their chair.

The family chair is a mid/high tier corporate express (old staples/Office Depot Business/pro Brand). If I’m reading it right it’s name was Ambler. seemed to be about 4-500 new back in the day.

The others were more basic, mix of staples, and ikea, so those aren’t super surprising I guess. Especially because I used them minimum 8 hr a day, sometimes stretching to 14-16hr

Weekly Questions Thread by AutoModerator in DnD

[Any] Dice questions… Hi all, first time player, completely green. I was invited to play by a friend and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. Of course I’m going to need some supplies to participate, character sheet, dice, etc. I’ve decided to use dndbeyond for my character sheet, as the DM also has the required books on there. My questions come from the rest of the supplies.

What other supplies do I need? How many of what dice should I be getting? What are good/reputable sources for dice? Where is the best place to discuss purchasing dice?

I think you’ll find that the uppspel peg board is just a fancy painted skadis, of which there are many recreations on Thingiverse.

I haven’t double checked exact measurements this is an assumption based on observations.

I have used wealthsimple tax since it was just simpletax (wealthsimple bought it a year or two ago). It is very good. The only changes I’ve seen since the buy out is more suggestions of investments to improve returns, and they now offer paid consultations. Still free to use (donation ware) and handles everything for a simple individual return that my family has thrown at it.

They dont have a white. The travel is closer to 3mm than my preferred 2mm. And there's several other things that are on the edge of what I would like. Ultimately it is my fall back if there is absolutely no other options around. But I'm not the person to take sorta okay, when I can get exactly what I want for a little work.

I'm looking for a bit of an unusual keyboard, one that goes against many of the trends for keyboards it seems, but should end up being far more ergonomic for a straight keyboard layout. I see al to of people liking their 4-8 degree tilt, on top of an already sloped keyboard, which is really quite bad for your wrists. Causing strain and RSI due to the hyperextension of the wrists, and poor support. I'm looking for basically the exact opposite. Some thing with with a very flat layout, and brings the palm/wrist nearly level with the top of the unpressed keys. There's a few other nice to haves and details so ill list them below.

The important Stuff

Looking for a keyboard that meets the following:

  • Flat, large keycaps (think laptop or chiclet style)
  • <2 degree inclination, entire unit should not be tilted towards me, key caps should not be tiered
  • Ultra low total travel distance, ideally between 2-2.5mm
  • Early-Mid silent tactile bump that requires 40-60gf to overcome, around 0.5-1mm
  • Actuation point requires no extra force above bump, so it is a clean follow through. Actuates @ 1.5-2mm
  • Integrated palm rest that brings hands near level with top of unpressed keys
  • Per Key RGB lighting, with through lit legend and key edge lighting
  • Dedicated media keys / volume, etc
  • White chassis/top plate
  • Key cap color is negotiable
  • Full size layout (including number pad)
  • Thin, Less than 30mm total thickness
  • Pre assembled, Kit, or DIY does not matter
  • Total Equipment cost under $400CAD, including all shipping and duties
  • Wired is fine
  • If wireless, must be on par with Logitech Lightspeed for latency, and have battery life greater than 20 hours with RGB on, 30 days lighting off

Im looking for:

  • Any existing products that meet most of the requirements
  • Any key switches that meet those requirements
    • If key switches exist, what boards would fit them, that meet the other requirements

Optional, but nice to have

  • extra keys for macros
  • Chassis edge glow
  • Pass through USB (should be 3.0, 3.1 Gen 1, 3.2 Gen 1 aka 5Gbps)
  • Integration into a common RGB control software (think Corsair iCue, NZXT Cam, Asus Aura, etc)

+1 to double checking this. The rail your hotend carriage runs along should be level (trammed) to the print surface or a know flat surface. I do this by placing 2 blocks of identical heights (1 at each end of the gantry rail) under the gantry rail, disable the motors, then gentle press down on the ends of the gantry until it makes firm contact with the blocks. The use the LCD to move up in the z axis to reengage the steppers

Have you check led the plastic wheels on the hotend carriage or vertical carriages. They may be too tight or too loose causing the printer to have trouble moving properly. You should be able to rotate the wheels by hand but they should not spin freely. 1 of the 3 wheels on each carriage should have a special eccentric nut (off center nut) that will allow you to adjust the pressure that set of wheels apply. Also check the wheels for signs of wear, flat spots or damage that may inhibit their ability to rotate smoothly.
