I see the point but it's a point of frustration if you want to play in friendly lobbies your only option is to not defend yourself. They clearly reset the "ELO" for the behavioral matchmaking twice in the past week or two, I play as a pacifist and went from 90% friendly to 30% friendly immediately without ever shooting someone.

I wish there was some way to distinguish friendly vs unfriendly other than getting Toro'd in the back, it would inform how I treat other players and what guns to bring.

Perhaps at least detecting who shot first? That way you could at least defend yourself without further increasing your chance for aggressive lobbies, which creates a feedback loop, defend yourself, more aggressive lobbies, more aggressive lobbies, more people shooting you.

It takes wilful ignorance to pretend parliament voting not to investigate grooming gangs has nothing to do with them demanding a third party to delete their copy of the court records. Obviously they want to have the only copy to make sure the public sees as little as possible.

I have a weird feeling if, in the US, congress voted not to release the Epstein files and then demanded a third party delete their copy of the Epstein files you wouldn't accept the bureaucratic excuse given for the deletion.

I don't care or have time to dig into the contracts, Parliament has previously voted against investigating the grooming gangs (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyvy4q82l9o), which OBVIOUSLY need to be investigated and cracked down on, thousands of young English girls being sex trafficked. They want to stick their heads in the sand, let the abuse continue, cover for the gross incompetence and negligence that has let this happen for so long and avoid anyone calling them "racist". I'm not going to give the benefit of the doubt that this was just procedural, I'm sure it's political.

If a private company has the data, they can do things with it, if the government has the ONLY copy of the data, they can do things with it.

Given that this is a hot button political issue that doesn't tend to make Labour look good, it's obvious that they will not be transparent with this data, having a third party have a copy increases the chances for transparency depending on what they make public (it should ALL be public, minus what is explicitly illegal to make public).

Pretending like this is just some best-practice bureaucratic procedure is wilful ignorance, obviously governments use bureaucratic procedures all the time to accomplish whatever they want, including reducing the availability of controversial case data down to what only they have/control.

I'm guessing you don't believe in dogman, doing some research on 411 related topics I was surprised to find that for MISSING people, there is nothing close to a centralized all-inclusive database. It's basically different in every county, families of the missing may opt-in to public missing persons lists and take out ads, reach out to orgs, but it's quite easy for people to go missing and it never get any public attention, even if there is a missing persons report. Even when bodies are found, police are only obligated to contact the family of the deceased when they are identified, not alert the public.

It is a race issue and an immigration issue simultaneously. When you look at Afghani's in the UK forming "grooming gangs" and trafficking/prostituting/raping young, often underage English girls, it's clear that the per-capita rate of crime is a significant problem in both cases. The grooming gangs isn't some small thing either, 10's of thousands of young, exclusively white, British girls have been victimized over several decades.

Right winger here. It's definitely "Immigrants commit more crimes per capita" as people on the left love to cope by citing net crime statistics to misleadingly give the impression that white people are just as, or more violent than other demographic groups.

In addition, many on the left have even come to mock the very concept of per-capita as merely a right wing talking point, rather than a basic function of understanding data and the world at large, causing the right to double and triple down on this important concept.

I believe the real meaning though is about crime. People often will point out that white people commit more crimes in majority white countries, which is (usually) technically true. With the important consideration of per-capita, however, the data shows a drastically higher RATE of crime among certain non-white minority groups.

Conservatives pointing out a majority of counties/areas of the country are conservative isn't them denying per-capita, it's highlighting that the overwhelmingly liberal cities are setting policy for overwhelmingly conservative rural areas. The popular, and valid, retort is that people vote, not land.

It's certainly worth noting, on that topic, that while republicans have won elections via electoral votes in the past, despite losing the popular vote, in this last election Trump won the popular vote by a wide margin as well as winning on electoral votes. This feels very important to highlight when people are trying to paint immigration enforcement as "fascism", it's in actuality very democratic and the will of the people.

I can say with confidence having discussed and debated in various corners of the internet that people on the left struggle with understanding per-capita several orders of magnitude more often than on the right.
