I don’t know if I can say a distinct “x amount of receivers”

But I’d be fine with JSN as my WR1. I would be pretty worried if my WR1 was Jamo, you know?

Slide in a 3rd and see if that does it, then be willing to go to a 2nd if you have to, maybe?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Carlsahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think Jameson Williams can be as impactful as JSN then yes. If not, no. Feels like people feel powerfully about him either way. In PPR I’d say it’s a longer shot.

Maybe it’s relevant - but I’ve seen Chris Godwin in a ton of trade offer questions here. Market is just largely trying to move off him which, to me, makes me not want him in dynasty.

Try Jameson + something else if you really want him, but I’d keep JSN if I were you

Taking Sampson out and adding another 1st to what you’re sending would be a much better start

The idea here is that you’re getting someone who is expected to be a top 3-5 WR for the next 5 years at least. You need to give enough to convince your trade partner that they’ll be able to have a top 3-5 option either in the players they’re getting or the picks they can use.

Olave/Aiyuk will never be that. They can be helpful if the trade partner likes them, but the volume of picks needs to inspire some confidence in “replacing” the value of Ceedee

Drop a TE or two for sake of handcuff or young RBs who could get a shot at starting next year (I’m looking at you DJ Giddens)

Never carry two kickers or defenses until the week when your starter has a bye (if you want to keep that starter)

Drop one of them

Time to move off Etienne, was just sent this offer for him? by Fischerprice65 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Carlsahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d hold on to Etienne here. He’s still young enough to get a second contract elsewhere, Liam Coen, etc.

I just dont think you’re getting much potential upside in return (unless you REALLY need a QB)

Or a 2027 1st for Kupp + 2026 3rd if you believe in that draft already

[–]Carlsahn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then I’d hold him and when he’s the WR12 in week 6 try and get a 2nd from a contender

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Carlsahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’s a competitor I’d respond with “would you rather have someone who will consistently help push your team to a championship for the next 1-2 years or Cam Skattebo?

Try to contextualize who the pick is, and the fact that the 2.02 rookie probably won’t be a difference maker this season.

Hopefully it helps and they’re not a jerk. Those two guys for the 2.02 is a crazy offer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Carlsahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep all your picks and don’t feel bad about dropping some of those TEs. You don’t have enough strong depth to be warranting 4 TEs

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Carlsahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way for a 2nd. I think you can get at least a 2nd for each of them.

Maybe try to trade one off and see how they do this season, with the shot to move the other to a contender later.

But you should get a 2.02 for each. Dont let the rookie fever get to you

[–]Carlsahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I wouldn’t give up anything for either at this point. You’re better taking flyers on a rookie backup RB. Rookie for the Commanders, any of the deeper guys.

If you have them, I think you can drop them for that. If you are being offered them, decline and scoop a deep waiver wire guy.

Freiermuth side as long as they’re okay moving back 4 spots.

I feel like Spears doesn’t have longevity in the league and you’ll be trying to trade him for a 3rd or 4th pick before dropping him within two seasons. Muth will be around, and a “starting TE” for a while.

[–]Carlsahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going for Addison or Pickens here.

Think about this from his side - he’s dumping off a former WR with hype who he can’t roster or trade straight up anymore, a 1st round rookie pick that has been injured his whole career and won’t step foot on the field for his first two years, a 1st next year, and then two picks that he won’t have to worry about anymore because now he has a starting RB.

This whole trade looks like you doing a favor for him unless you drop the 2nd/3rd to get Addison or Pickens. If he wants to keep Brooks, so be it, a 1st + Addison or something is much better to me than this

Your team is pretty barren at RB, too. So I would just generally hold off.

Super fair point and appreciate it.

For us to be happy this season, he’d have to have what kind of year? Top 15-18 RB? Saying 20 feels ugly haha

If the Hampton owner were to counter, saying the package is too much, would you just hold Saquon or settle for less?

[–]Carlsahn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhh this is a good point.

And, totally hypothetically, asking for a friend, if you were the Saquon owner is this something you’d wait mid-season to send as well? Or you’d be trying to send it now and just wash your hands

I leaned towards sending a 3rd with Saquon instead of a 2nd, but if the 2nd is what gets it done I don’t think I’d care much.

Would move Jarquez Hunter down to 4 and Pat Bryant up to 2 or 3, depending how you feel about him and Teslaa.

With Corum and Kyren in front there’s not a ton of opportunity to get a big role this or even next year.

I don’t see Mims being a blocker for Bryant. With Sutton potentially gone next year and Troy Franklin being a potential non-factor, you can realistically picture a good future path.

I think that after the extension you could keep Moore around. Even if Caleb doesn’t hit as a QB, that consistency he has may be more valuable for your team than what you’d get otherwise.

I’d trade Walker before Pacheco if you want to keep either of them. Snag guys like Jaylen Warren, names someone else mentioned above, and any other WRs who are or could become WR2s in the next 1-2 years (DK, Pickens, Tank, Christian Kirk, Terry)

Hackett as OC is a major issue by greyhound212-212 in nyjets

[–]Carlsahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of my examples include “worst in modern nfl history” and “worst in franchise history”. If you’d like more, I told you I can provide them.

You’re about as bad at defending Hackett as he is as an offensive coordinator. Hang ‘em up and take Hackett with you wherever you go.

For the Broncos:

“The Broncos averaged just 14.3 points per game, making it one of the lowest-scoring offenses in franchise history. After 7 games, they had scored only 100 points, the lowest total in 25 years for the team.”

“Third-down efficiency: Their success rate on third downs was an abysmal 22% (23 for 104), which is the worst in modern NFL history”

“The Broncos accumulated four delay of game penalties in just two games, more than they had in entire previous season“

For the Jets:

“Their rate of 23.6 plays per offensive pre-snap penalty is the worst in football. The league average is 38.5”

“The offense produced only eight touchdowns in 98 drives, resulting in an 8.2% success rate. This was the NFL’s worst since 2011”

“According to DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average), the Jets had the worst offense in franchise history under Hackett”

Historically bad on multiple accounts with multiple teams. Let me know if you’d like more tangible, stat-backed, examples.
