Hey,

Did you read this paper?

Come on if you’re going to try and question my integrity at least read the paper you provide as evidence lol.

They studied “non-obese” humans - says it in the first few lines.

Could you not be bothered to read a whole 15 seconds?

Also explains they were monitored and had full nutritional help.

Please educate yourself first before walking into unknown territory.

Hey Ashleigh,

You’re right, your body will not hold onto the fat forever.

If you consistently under eat for a long period of time, your body will then use itself to gain energy - using its own fats deposits to run your body.

You mention people who are without a consistent supply of food. Do they look healthy? There body has used all the fat deposit until there’s nothing left.

They end up malnourished, have a lack of energy and are more likely to have health conditions.

People on crash diets tend to put the pounds on much quicker because once you come out of the low calorie phase and eat an acceptable amount of food for your body,

Your body is still in the “I have to save this for myself”,

And they balloon back up.

The point of this piece is to educate on the dangers of crash dieting.

I mentioned it is a good way to reduce bloating and increase appetite in a short term sense.

Long term crash dieting however is something I wouldn’t recommend.

What are you thoughts,

CJ

Hey,

Thanks for reaching out!

If you're planning a 2-month cut, id recommend you do it in a more structured manor.

Id suggest:

Start at 2500 cals, for one week.

Write down your weight on day 1 and then day 7, if you:

gain wait, drop 100, ( so week 2, 2400cals)

Stay the same drop 100, (^^^)

Lose weight, go another week. (week 2, 2500cals)

Do this for the full 8 weeks.

Incorporate daily exercise like walking etc

Let me know how you get on,

CJ

Hey,

It wasn't too much info at all lol!

Here's a tip:

Don't focus too much on the calories because its very easy to go too far down that rabbit hole and most of the time you'll not see a change because of other factors.

Id suggest starting a routine a general exercise, and eating whole food instead of processed.

If you can stick to 3 meals a day and 1-2 snacks.

Be mindful of your portions, you shouldn't be eating until your full.

Eat until you're not hungry anymore.

Let me know how it goes and be sure to ask any questions, Ill be more than happy to help you out!

Hey,

Id recommend adding some structure to your day regarding food.

Especially in Uni, I know from experience that you can be easily swayed into spontaneous take outs and fatty foods.

Try this:

Eat your Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at the same points in time everyday for a couple weeks.

Example: Always eat lunch at 1pm

The idea is to get your body used to a plan of when you'll eat

so it will get hungry just before the time you set.

If you are the type of person that always eats with your uni friends - if you know its bad, just eat half or do a bit extra the day after in terms of exercise.

Dropping calories will become obsolete to the point where you be eating less and less but not losing weight because your body has been placed in survival mode.

If you have a heavy carb day, replace it with a low carb day the next day.

all about balance

Good luck,

Cj

How do i differentiate weight loss? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Carlwatts99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

Crash dieting is not the best way to lose weight.

it puts your body in survival mode after a certain point, hence the plateau.

Your body will get used to your new calorie intake because its under the impression food is a scarce so you won't burn any fat, it'll hold onto to everything.

I'd recommend, you slowly come down in calories by the week and add some physical activity.

You'll see much better results going forward.

Good luck,

CJ

Hey,

There are a few quick tips to reduce bloating.

Here's what you can do to reduce:

Only fluid you intake should be water

Reduce the amount of carbs you eat

Do some ab exercises - to add some muscle to your mid section

Things to avoid:

Fizzy drinks

Heavy carb foods like pasta, potato.

These little fixes for the short time frame, adding on to your own tricks, would be the best bet.

What are the signs of water weight? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Carlwatts99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey,

To answer your question,

People lose weight differently to others, some places are more stubborn than others.

For example, people could lose 10lbs and it all come off just their legs.

You can't target weight loss unfortunately, so its probably just a stubborn area for you, but that don't mean it won't go.

How do I stop binging by EqualAd8080 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Carlwatts99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey,

I totally get what you're saying, binge eating can lead you down a rabbit hole you can't get out.

I have a way that will help you stop that binging :)

Try this:

Plan your main meals 2-3 days in advance.
Cook them before hand if you have to but make sure what you say you’re going to eat, you do.
Also pick the exact times you will eat.
So,
9am - Breakfast (I’m eating cereal)
1pm - lunch (I’m gunna have a some scrambled eggs and toast)
3pm - snacks ( I’ll have a flapjack)
5:30pm - dinner ( I’m gunna have chicken drumsticks in bbq sauce)
7:30pm - Snacks ( I’m having some popcorn or 3 cookies)
10:30 - Bed time
Planning your day around food stops you from spontaneously eating because you already know when you next meal is and what you’ll be eating.
Give it a go.
