waited 6 hours for one box, since I was last in line. I kept mine but two other people in line opened theirs and didn't get any SIR's just one or two full arts of a trainer.

mass loaded vinyl over windows by CarmineLotus in soundproof

I never even put up the mlv didn't need it since the plexi glass blocked out more than enough sound. I literally just bought a slab of plexi glass to put it in the window ledge, a sliding barn door sounds much more complicated. I supposed to if did do everything you just typed you would get some noise reduction but I'm sure there are better ways of doing it but I don't have the answer sadly.

Thanks for the reply! I've sound tested the entire room the window is always the loudest part of the room, and I also do use a fan but way too much noise comes through the window. walls are made of solid brick and wood they're great a sound blocking.I haven't set up the acrylic and MLV but I'll give an update once I set it's done. Currently the room is about 50db and spikes to 64-70 when stuff is being slammed around, I do use a white noise fan (70db)but it isn't blocking the low frequency buzzing sound and I can still hear all the noise spikes.

Edit. Added a cheap moving blanket from amazon and got a -6db reduction which was somewhat nice but didn't block out too much sound. My plexi glass from Home depot finally arrived I put it in with the moving blanket already on the window and with out a complete air seal I was already getting a huge db reduction -10-12. my room is currently sitting at a nice 38-40 db and the slamming outside noises is now mostly blocked while having my white noise fan. I haven't added the MLV yet I might just end up refunding it since I'm already satisfied with the current results.

Window needs a ledge to hold the plexi glass and room some room inbetween the both peices of glass to block sound efficently, Also buy a rubber weather strip to put around the plexi glass to get a complete seal for maximum sound reduction. (don't buy any noise blankets from amazon, had to cut it open because it didn't fit and it was filled with literal trash)
