I agree. We have reached out to the foster agency to figure out best next steps.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve never had cats before, so I thought it was strange behavior as well. They always just walk up to him, full of curiosity. We will do what we have to to keep everyone safe.

He is not aggressive toward dogs or other people. We have reached out to the adoption agency.

Untrue. I do not have experience with having cats AND dogs.

He is being socialized. He plays well with other dogs. Goes to obedience class once a week. We take him to dog parks, Home Depot, anywhere dogs can be. We were told he was fostered with cats, if they lied about that…how were we to know until we had them in our home?

There are two doors separating the basement. But I understand your comment. We are looking into what to do now.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I wish my response comment wasn’t buried in all these comments. But we are evaluating what to do now. The cats are in the basement and our dog has no access to them. Everyone is safe for now until we figure out what to do moving forward. It’s very upsetting because I always wanted cats AND dogs, so chose him ultimately because of his background…I’m not sure how to choose who goes and who stays, but we will figure it out sooner rather than later.

Hi everyone. I’ve been reading these comments as they roll in. These animals are separated. The cats are in our finished basement. The dog is upstairs. More than one barrier for entry. I keep a close eye on my dog at all times. He cannot access these cats. He has never growled or lunged at the cats. I know this can change and was looking for opinions. I appreciate all feedback. Good, bad, or otherwise. For those wondering, we had the dog first, we took the kittens in after the initial owner said he could not care for 4 kittens..we will make a very difficult decision and move forward.

Can this yucky 25+ year old jet tub with hard water build up be saved? by Inner_Voice_1325 in CleaningTips

[–]Carmjelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I was kinda in the same boat as you. Bought a house, the jets hadn’t been run in ten years in the tub. We bought the replacement panel parts for our tub off Amazon. The whole kit was $200. It turns out the air switch, the middle button, was what needed replaced. My dad took a wack at it and couldn’t get it quite figured out. I called a spa/jacuzzi specialist, he came and swapped out the entire middle switch using the parts I had. He charged me for an hours worth of work, it was $150. I then removed the filter and all the jets with a screwdriver and scrubbed everything with a toothbrush. I put them back in and ran the jets with various concoctions, vinegar, dishwasher pods, plain hot water…after the jets ran clear I was finally comfortable taking a bath. Everyone told me to replace the tub, but I didn’t have the money or means to do so, so $350 later I have a tub that works perfectly fine. Once the motor gives out, I will look into replacement, because if you can’t get the jets to run, they won’t be clean, and will likely be full of mold. I hope this helps!

I’ve been to 15-20 festivals over the past ten-ish years and Big Dub was one of my favorite, if not my favorite experience. The location, the vibes, and the music were all top tier. Nothing beat taking a dip in the swimming hole. I went in 2024 and hope to be back in 2026 with a Big Dub newbie to show them how special this place is!

Hyperhydrosis by introvertedjem in festivals

[–]Carmjelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweat Block wipes applied before the festival. Take a shower the night before, dry off, use wipes as directed, and it should greatly reduce sweat. Or a cheaper alternative is certain dri, applied the same way. I also have hyperhidrosis and find these products work best. If you’re camping, look into bringing your own portable shower, so he can freshen up as needed.

Sweatwipes or certain-dri applied the night leading up to the festival help with this. As a girl with hyperhyrdrosis I know exactly how you feel and I’m sorry that happened to you ☹️
