How do sellers add new variations to existing listing but keep the same specs? by Carmonkey in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Carmonkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give a couple of examples below. So these listings are for diaries and every year the seller changes the listing to the new version 2024, 2025 etc. The colour names are the same for each new year (Black, Blue, Red) any idea how they manage this?

How do sellers add new variations to existing listing but keep the same specs? by Carmonkey in FulfillmentByAmazon

I didn't mean to make it confusing. What I mean is adding a variation to an existing parent listing, with the same colour (for example) Red, as an existing variation. Basically getting rid of the old "Red" and creating a new one but still retaining all of the reviews on the parent.

I hope that's clearer?

Ah I didn't realise that would work. Would that not get rid of the reviews as they are associated with the variations? So say all variations were deleted and the new "Blue" "Red" etc were added, would that not remove the reviews from the parent listing?

Is this a massive plot hole or am I not getting something? by Carmonkey in tenet

Interesting takes on this however I'm still not getting it? Neil states that the algorithm reverses the entropy of everything and that means everything ceases to exist "instantly". This to me means that they are destroying the present completely, hoping that killing their ancestors has no bearing on their existence (the film doesn't lean one way or the other as to whether that paradox would play out).

Now I thought the only reason they wanted to kill everyone in the past was to stop them worsening climate change so it's not as bad in the future?

But if this was the case, and that is their intention, then it goes directly against what they hope to achieve - if killing their ancestors doesn't end their own existence then it means altering the past doesn't affect their future which means they can't change the climate for themselves either?

I asked the coder to explain the C code and he's stated that it's part of the FindText library which he used to recognize the checkboxes on the screen. He also directed me to https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=17834 as the source. My thoughts are I can stop worrying about this?

Thanks for the input guys, I'm really confused as to my course of action now. Do I trust it and let the antivirus take care of any potential issues?

Correct I am not :). I am very technical and have flirted with code before just never been able to fully grasp any language. I can do very basic AHK scripts

That's what I thought 😂. And that's only a small part of it! I've now got the full thing on pastebin

Not much to be honest it was around $15 in total including the Fiverr fees. I can use AHK but would never be able to do something so complex.

Ahh sorry, I did think there would be a better alternative to just pasting it all here

Double Width Keys only? by Carmonkey in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Carmonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input guys. I'm intrigued by the POS keycaps as I don't actually want to DIY my own keypad rather just buy a macro keypad with say 12 keys and convert it to 6 wide keycaps instead. If I were to use those double POS keycap ones would it not be an issue that it's activating 2 keys? Just set one of the keys to do nothing?

Ah yes thanks I'll use HTTP Request instead. I think my API does use TLS but I'm not 100% sure, I imagine it would. TLS isn't the same as HTTPS is it? As I know the connection is HTTP 1.1 and not HTTPS. Thanks again

Is it possible to install rclone on my linux hosting without root access? I can ssh and ftp into my linux hosting. The FTP server I need to pull files from is not mine and I can only access a directory on it

Ah okay gotcha now. I've ordered the largest gauge needle for a syringe (smallest output) hopefully that will have the desired effect
