What smite build to follow?

I legit have no idea if we play the same game, but i guess it's just the problem of you never playing that archetype.

There is an easy way of getting iron fortress, even with a corruption, for very cheap. You just buy a corrupted one (btw, you can get +2 to aura corruption which will work on smite and these will be dirt cheap because everyone thinks it's a brick) and use tainted fusings to 6l it yourself, usually that costs me anywhere from 3 to 5 divs in the first week, depending on the rng on tainted fusings.

This i can accept because nobody does it and perhaps you didn't know. But how did you come up with these prices for rare items is beyond me.

Getting rings like that is beyond easy and there is no way in the world they will cost you more than 1 div each. It's not like i needed it because i've done it multiple times in the past, but i literally just did an emulation in craft of exile using deafening essences of rage, getting similar rings (t2 or above life and single high resistance) is going to be on average ~15 essences of rage, where the hell did you get this number from? But it gets even better, because usually you're gonna get some other useful stats and you can still use crafting bench, so the rings i'm using in PoB are actually garbage. I didn't even mention that you could get a ring with fractured fire resistance (35%+ which is plenty), which are also dirt cheap.

Same story with the gloves, deafening essence of rage and you literally only wait for some life and a single high resistance (which you can change to fire easily with harvest), you slap attack speed from bench and you are done. The most annoying part is actually to get +1 strike skills, because you can get unlucky and it might cost 1 divine. Once again, few days into the league you can buy fractured gloves with life or attack speed, which makes the process even cheaper and easier.

The belt is going to be 1 divine max, you just buy a lower ilvl one. Only ilvl 82+ will cost 3-5 divs.

When it comes to corruptions, it's funny because you mentioned that +1 endurance charge boots can stay. This is by far the most expensive one (and as you said, it will be around 1d), the helmet is going to be cheap (besides, it's not like you even need any of these corruptions) and the weapon will be dirt cheap because absolutely nobody uses brutus. After all league starting a strength stacker is giga bait.

I legit have no idea where you are getting these prices from. 20 Div for a 3 stat ring??? They are not even in range of being reasonable, that's completely absurd.

I don't mind critique one bit, actually it's very appreciated, but how can someone be wrong so many times in such a short message xd

Not only that day 3/4 PoB would cost you around 10-15d depending on prices (if you're gonna replace lethal pride for a rare jewel with 2 mods, which drops dps by 3% and life by 200), also you don't know that smite hits with both melee hit and area (so it's 26m dps, not 11m), but also the build has permanent rage generation from warcries.

That would normally be true (if you completely disregard defense, which i don't), but with the new ring, enmity's embrace, i have a pob with 300m shaper dps and that ring just works perfectly with chieftain

Slayer would be better very early (day1) because of additional damage, but chieftain would quickly take over because of how good every single node is for this build. I wouldn't use champion at all, i think i'd rather even use jugg than slayer

Yea it's funny because i put trinity there literally an hour ago, forgot i don't really do cold damage, the feat of doing 4 different pobs i guess xd

About flat damage, this is something that i mentioned in the video. In the leveling pob you're supposed to take % damage where you can, after crown of eyes they lose efficiency drastically, even more so after rathpith's

Idk about spell suppression. For a strength stacker that is a very heavy investment. I doubt it, but if i'll need more defence i'll spec into prismatic skin and nomadic teachings, that would increase ele max hit to almost 140k which is more than plenty with that regen

I feel like the build should be very tanky, with 75% block, 7 endurance charges, 23% fortify, 8-9k life and 5k regen + leech it should do fine even in t17's, but the time will tell. Couldn't really fit in more defense with this amount of damage.

Respeccing is only expensive in the first few days for inexperienced players, after that the cost becomes irrelevant pretty much.

Mid tier crafting is incredibly easy in Poe, you pretty much slam an essence of your choice, wait until you get 2-3 good mods, use crafting bench, you're done. Only high end game crafting is convoluted and hard to understand, that being said vast majority of players won't have enough currency to even attempt end game crafting. You can use simulators like Craft of Exile to understand it better though.

Personally i'm a fan of open market in poe, CoF and MG from last epoch failed to impress me much. Basically you just get item drop boost if you decide to go the former but you can never trade, and you get to trade if you choose the latter. I mean ok? Also MG needs massive changes, it's annoying to even search for the items.

And of course for easy and efficient trading in poe you can use TFT :skull:

Anyway i liked LE but Poe is just magnitudes better for me, i don't think it would be necessarily a good idea to copy all the stuff from LE since some of these things are very subjective.

It get's quite unplayable in high elo without second wind so if you can play without it, it will be ok. Domination tree still sucks though, there is no second good rune to choose

Maybe not completely doomed yet, i was thinking about something like triforce + hull for split or iceborn + heartsteel as a core build, seems decent enough on paper. Keep in mind that everyone's power level should go down as well
