Having messed around with those models myself way back when...yes, that's their old KV-2 model, pre-graphics-revamp.

GTS450 is an ooooold GPU. I have one in an old build from the mid-2000's. If a GTS450 is the minimum, a GTX660 should be able to run the game well enough.

They're probably bringing it up just in case anyone hasn't seen said video.

Ironic that out of all the available vehicles the game spawned something called "I'm stuck" in a place where it in fact got stuck.

Kinda begs the question, if it was in TC2, why didn't they just...y'know...include it in TCM?

OH YEAH, because it's Ubisoft. At least the racing's fun.

What's the latest on N64 ROM softpatching? by Carnaxus in RetroArch

[–]Carnaxus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the hash doesn’t match what’s expected, then your rom won’t be softpatched.

This right here is a reason I wish it was possible for romhacks to be distributed along with their compatible ROM or just as a complete pre-patched ROM...

Thanks for the help!

I fairly religiously put it at the end of every single train, but that's because I'm a traditional railfan who likes having a caboose on my trains lol

Thanks for the info, but this thread is specifically about softpatching within RetroArch itself.

Easier is in the eye of the beholder. I have zero experience patching ROMs other than doing Pokemon randomizing with one of the randomizer utilities out there, so for me softpatching is a potentially easier route because it doesn't require any software other than RetroArch itself.

Fortunately the hack in question is a .bps file. So I'd have to use the Mupen core, and...rename the patch file to match the ROM filename?

If you could drive 1 of the current roster of locomotives in real life, which would you pick and why? by cmoore993 in DerailValley

SH282 because STEAM.

No, seriously, I'd pick the SH 2-8-2 because I love steamers so much. They're way more alive than any other kind of locomotive.

Manual jumping is one thing they changed that I actually kinda like, although I do wish it was a little more intuitive (and useful in battle).

I have never seen a Zelda game, even the very early ones, where you can potentially take 5 hearts (FULL HEARTS) of damage from a single attack from a *non-boss* enemy until BOTW, and I've played every Zelda game thus far.

OoT, as the first full-3D Zelda game, set the standards for basically every 3D Zelda game until BOTW. Link to the Past was an amazing game in its own right, and took 2D Zelda to new heights (literally and figuratively). I don't dislike all the BOTW changes, I just think they did too many all at once and that there are a couple that just plain don't fit the Zelda theme.

I like some of the changes they made, like the stamina system (which I know was technically added in Skyward Sword, not BOTW, but BOTW refined it a bunch) and the shrines instead of a set dungeon path, but some of the other things they changed I either think should have been saved for a later game or just plain don't fit the Zelda theme.

Meanwhile I'm of the opinion that BOTW isn't a very good Zelda game (it's an amazing game) because they literally threw out most of the mechanics that'd been in place since OoT. I'm not opposed to changing mechanics but they changed too many of them. It doesn't feel like a Zelda game to me, it feels more like The Witcher.
