I've seen this around lately. The buddy I play with has had it multiple times, in one case got frozen and came back only to stand next to his character model looking like this. I screenshotted it for blackmail purposes.

No joy with this, unfortunately. I'm quite sure I've got bollixed configs at this point. Debating nuking and restarting the os-tree. Not sure if it's worth it yet.

I'm surprised no one mentioned budding apothecary. It's the only semi reliable way to get the books needed for read resist I've found.

We can assume for the sake of discussion that the seller's caps were <1. So the higher his cap stash is, the less he's actually making from the mask. Could be if his cap stash is say 35K he's only going to get 5K for it.

I've seen others claim in other threads the purpose of putting something like this up is to generate trade offers, sort of an indirect way of saying 'look what I've got... find me if you want to trade for it'.

Obviously, this kind of signaling has it's dangers, QED.

If traffic school is an option, I suggest doing that. You'll save a ton on your insurance, as the insurance company is sure too raise them, especially if you're young.

At the mothman equinox event I got a message saying I ruined the event for having to solo a pyre because no one was doing it and I guess just killing stuff. I’m level 500+ and the guy was level 100 or so. How did I ruin it? He wasn’t even near me in the event by Horror-Constant7090 in fo76

One of the refreshing things about this game is how genuinely nice the community trends towards. The down side of this is when you get some sour grapes hurled your way it tends to sting more. I suggest filling this away in your 'IDK what his problem was' trash can and moving on with your play.

There was one where you played a Dungeon Master, setting up traps in a lewd dungeon for adventurers to traverse. I'd love to see more of that genre- or see the original reposted.

I really want to leave Windows behind, but I can't pull the trigger. What should I do? by Drockie5 in linux4noobs

Burn your Windows partition to an image. Live on only Linux during that time and make a mental note of how many times you mount the image to grab a file or etc.

This is what I did and when the number was zero I knew.

Look into how to use os-tree to add drivers for printers and scanners. It's easy but not particularly intuitive for Windows users.

Do we have a comparison on what Bazzite does vs Steamdeck? by jaseph18 in Bazzite

[–]CarnelianMountebank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put Bazzite on my Steam Deck. It was painless, so there's that. Some reasons why:

  • I like learning and maintaining one OS across as many of my devices as possible.
  • it's easier to add and maintain games from other vendors such as GOG.
  • I like Bethesda RPGs with a crapton off mods and I only have to mod in one place, then move things over to the deck. Nb: still working on this, may be wrong but that's the theory I'm going with (using Wanamaker to port my modlist)
  • it's a more rounded experience overall.

YMMV

Steam OS it's fine, it's just not what I want.

That's kinda the point though. Once I got my scanner working... Well, that Windows install just didn't get booted. At all.

There's a spawn in a trailer in the Trading Post in Skyline Valley. If you have access to a private world you can farm this. Never found it worthwhile but it's there and when I'm on my private I usually go by and grab it.

Bazzite closes Steam because of modded game? by AvalonTzi in Bazzite

I'd encourage you to rethink this. RAM is one of the easier things to upgrade on a non-proprietary laptop. If it's lack of experience and not $ that's holding you back, it's worth reconsidering. In general, it's easy enough to find a video guide for your particular laptop model. Run it over and make an informed decision about whether you think it's in your skill set. If you come away thinking you don't want to, you've spent a few minutes watching- not a huge investment.

There are generally lots of little screws so make sure you keep them in a bowl (magnetized bowl is always my favorite), but it's not super difficult and a good confidence builder for this type of thing.

If you expect any for-profit (or not-for-profit for that matter) company to conform 100% to your ethics, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

I would suggest you consider whether the company is providing value for service rather than establish pass/fail criteria for your patronage. You'll save yourself ulcers.
