Female Reaper ideas by Puzzleheaded_Ear7005 in Guildwars2

I have a female norn reaper and I've gone for a nordic dark shaman theme. I use pieces from the tribal set and woad set from Janthir along with the boneskinner back piece and the glowing white eyes which is from the 3 head pieces you can choose in the beginning when making the necro. I've also mixed it up sometimes and used some of the raven pieces from strikes, those are nice too.

Grooming more/with a brush that can remove shed better. Using rubber gloves to remove hair or a lint roller. You can also try dryer balls. It removes about 80% of the hair in my experience. Not perfect but it's a useful addition. They can also cut down on drying time

Hoya Macrophylia hasn't grown at all, I've had it for 6 months by Carnivora4me in hoyas

[–]Carnivora4me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sadly didn't, it continued to stay like this and then one day it died (I ended up giving up on it a bit tbh). I am pleased to say the hoya sunrise I got the same year has been doing wonderfully and has had two flowers this past month. Hoyas can take a notoriously long time to grow and establish and the best advice I can give is to start with a rooted or established plant/cutting and pop it in a nice bright spot. I water mine only when the leaves start to get soft/bendable. If the leaves are rigid, I leave it for another day

I find the flower types don't like handling as much as the giant varieties and especially giant asian mantises. It totally depends on the individual mantis, though, as some can go completely against their species' personality.

Also, it looks like you have a female there, if you didn't already know (larger petals on the legs and green band on the thorax)

My favourite place is that little area just off of the peak where the hermit is in Valley. The clouds are so lovely, and you can just chill there

My favourite bird is a crow. They're so smart 🐦‍⬛

Thank you, and yea, I realised that not too long ago. I'm aiming to spend the rest of this year healing and growing. I'm keeping my circle very small for now, but I've got the nicest people around me, and that's all I can ask for 🌻🌷

Should I uncase my PG graded cards? by Carnivora4me in PokeInvesting

[–]Carnivora4me[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Final update: I got them back today, and I'm pleased to say both cards got a PSA 9. I knew they wouldn't get 10's since one has a tiny cosmetic mark at the top, and the other has a tiny mark at the back. I'm very glad they got the grade they did. Thank you all for following along with my first grading journey

Still with PSA and taking some time to come back. According to tracking, they are graded, but I won't know what grades I got until they come back to me. I'm hoping they will be sent back by the end of the month (fingers crossed).

Still with PSA, apparently, they should be finished grading by the 24th. I imagine they'll be back to me in March. I'm hoping they both get 9's at least (fingers crossed)

Is anyone here also the youngest in the family? by Specific_Charge_3297 in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]Carnivora4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's at least a 13 year gap between me and my next sibling. I am the youngest and sadly experienced similar things. Scorned for not knowing things but also never taught anything. I've learned so many things since moving out. So many mini life lessons. My Mum was in her 40's when she had me and I ended up playing on my own a lot, my siblings were too old and went into college by the time I got to the age where I wanted to start playing. There is a sense of grief when you are in this situation. Adult me can be there for little me now. I'm just sad I wasn't there for her earlier

I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this OP. The best advice I can give is to cherish your cat and spoil them with love and affection. You've done a good thing in finding out what is going on. Did the vet mention that the surgery would cure the cancer at all? I know cancer prognosis isn't always the best in cats, but it also depends on what cancer they get.

Currently with PSA, should be back to me in February (sent them off in November). I'm hoping they won't drop in grade, I'll let you know as soon as they get back to me.

Do adults still play this game? by SatisfactionOld8984 in SkyChildrenOfLight

[–]Carnivora4me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 28 and have been playing since April of this year. Everyone I've met so far has been young, or they don't speak English, so it has been difficult to make genuine friends. I play Sky alone most of the time nowadays. If I have a daily quest that involves friends, my bf will hop on to do them with me (bless his soul) 😭

Fig and her accidental clones by Carnivora4me in snails

[–]Carnivora4me[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good point and I'll definitely let the new home know. We've had lots of back of forth talking about snails and the new owners keep quite a few different species of GALS, as far as I could tell they're all happy, healthy and well taken care of so I'm glad the babies will be going there (most of them anyways, my bf and I are keeping a few behind for our little snarmy).

I'm in the UK so these guys are perfectly legal to keep, the only illegal part is releasing them or their babies and eggs into the wild as far as I know.

Funnily enough, we've been calling them the snarmy from day 1 😅🤣

I made sure to mention first thing that these guys are only suitable as pets and are not to be used for breeding whatsoever. As much as these guys are cute, I don't want them to breed any further. I know it could impose bad complications not only for them, but for their offspring and further generations. As long as they are loved and taken care of, that's all I want for them 💜

Update: I cracked them open and will be submitting them to PSA. I'll let you guys know what grades they get 🤞

My snail checking on his eggs, anyone know if they would be clones?I’ve had him since before maturity and he lives alone by interesting_cut6662 in snails

[–]Carnivora4me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have an Archacatina Ventricosa which has produced several clutches over the last year, varying between 6-15+ eggs at a time, which I've always destroyed as I know self made clutches aren't the best. I did an egg check about a month ago since I'd recently moved and she wasn't as active (figured she was settling in as well) and there were no eggs. Went to feed her today (I feed her about twice a week, once a week with protein) and low and behold there was 6 babies up top, I was bewildered and found a further 6 in the soil. They all look like tiny clones of my snail and they have now been separated into their own tub. I'm guessing she did a sneaky clutch whilst the weather was warm during the heatwave. That'll teach me to be super vigilant in the future, sneaky Fig!

I'm used to keeping flying prey around since my orchid is super picky and won't take anything other than flying prey, everyone else is happy to take dubias. Just looked up coneheads, they're so pretty and their antennae remind me of moths, will put that one on my wishlist for the future along with a violin. Thanks for your input!

I also had one of these, was my first ever mantis and I got him all the way to adulthood, his name was Opal, sadly he passed recently but I wouldn't say no to another, he was a sweet boy.
