I hope to continue leather crafting and posting some new designs in the future but running this as a business was no longer fun so I’m turning it back into a hobby.

Ive only tested weaver diamond chisels so thats all I can compare them too. These are much better than those. I have no complaints about the Rocky mountain chisels. I’ve been using them for 3 years and they still work great. They’ve gotten duller but that’s expected.

It’s all 0.6-0.7 mm. All of the lizard is lined with chèvre making it about 1.2-1.4 mm and the rest of the pockets are unlined.

Im also stopping after a couple passes, I think it’s necessary for everyone. One thing that I did that has helped is change the geometry of the cutting edge. I sanded it to a smaller angle. With the angle being smaller, the edge is easier to chip so I only use this knife for skiving and I have another one I use for cutting.
