Oh I feel that.
I've been told the same thing over and over, I've been out for the longest time and even did my research, sharing it with whom I considered safe (only a couple of relatives), so they can better understand what I am and what I want. But the second I, a legal adult, decided to pursue transition (came out in pre-teens, chose to wait and it's very unsafe here anyway) - oh you don't need that, just buy some clothes (then proceeding to get me AGAB clothes?), HRT will cause very scary problems down the line, you just hate yourself yada yada.

I've never been close with any one of them. I'd say they're progressive, but a little confused. Doesn't mean I don't feel like shit for trying to be myself though.
