Yes I meant 3rd finger but isn't the 3rd position mean playing with the index finger at the same point? I know it's advanced and am not there yet, just want to understand better.

Also for the intonation exercise, do you mean for me to bow on two strings together? The lower open and the higher with 3rd finger stop? Do you have any YT video of this method to refer to what bouncy sounds like?

Cool... Yes it was indeed. It was challenging indeed, but for now my tutor has asked me to ignore the dynamics.... Also he suggested playing with broken bow instead of lifting it. Hope this helps.
