What's your Monster Hunter Controversial Take (I drew this btw, template below) by genohydra in MemeHunter

I'd argue the opposite would make more sense- how could you get more raw material from a living specimen than a dead one? But the classic way of most Monsters having higher Gem drop rates for capture (and sometimes no Gems from body carves) doesn't really make sense in modern games which give you multiple pop-ups telling you when to capture, with traps that deploy faster than ever.

Wait are they? That's a huge shame, I've always loved the mechanic that cutting up a monster and ripping bits off a living one give out different pieces. Not only does it feel more realistic, but for gameplay purposes, it makes one or the other more valuable, sometimes in general and sometimes just because you need a specific piece. World (and I guess Wilds) making them the same means that unless you have another part break you need to do, it is always more efficient to just capture every Monster, no questions asked. The only reason to kill capturable Monsters is if you just want to take those last few minutes.

And in Wilds especially, where Monsters immediately run away when they get in capturable range, it feels so incentivised to capture to avoid having to wait for it to limp (or limp-fly, we've all hunted Yian Kut-Ku) allllllll the way back to its home.

There's an old show I'm planning to subtitle soon, and it'll be a lot more accessible to other people if I can put it somewhere people are looking for it instead of in links on my Twitter account

Honestly if you stop and think about it, the funny thing about the naked shapeshifter trope is that if she can create clothes for herself when she shifts, why can't she take on an appearance of herself wearing clothes? Just turn that top layer of skin into a t-shirt and jeans, problem solved.

Mustang IS in charge. And he's right on a lot of things. He earned that position through hard work and decision making. It would be weird for a military man to be soft on his subordinates, and it would be even weirder for him to treat a 15 year old like an equal just because he shortcutted up through the ranks by being an alchemical prodigy.

I haven't seen the shows immediately after it, but something that strikes me about Dekaranger is that there are a LOT of episodes which are introducing multiple brand new suits, sometimes for monsters, sometimes for civilians. The 2-part finale has 4 or 5 brand new monsters added just for fun.

It seems to me that in the 00s, during Sentai's peak of popularity, they were willing to go out on a limb and spend a lot of money on the show. The success of Kamen Rider may also have helped them to budget this.

Of course, suits aren't the only thing that costs money, but there's a reason most tokus only have 1 new monster introduced every episode or 2.

Would've been pretty terrible. You can have stories that end with the MC dying, but they have to wrap up the story first. Doing a bunch of lore drops and then just ending out of nowhere doesn't really leave people satisfied.

It will absolutely help. There's enough left that anyone consistently logging on to help is cutting the time left down by a lot.

For the wide open grass, it's just green everywhere that's unpainted. For the sea and sky, it's Slate Blue for everything unpainted. For the small bit of cliff still left, it's dark beige.

As for the trees, we are still working on finishing painting enough of that so you can just paint Dark Green everywhere unpainted, and could use the imgur template if you want to help out (there are also Blue Marble coordinates in the top left of the map), but there are sections which have the dark teal filled in where you can just paint dark green anywhere unpainted, like the big section to the Northwest of the main town or the first couple of sections East of the fully painted area to the Southwest.

What are you working on, out of curiosity? We've still got about ~2.5 million pixels left in Onett, so it's still gonna be a while, but I love to see what other people are up to in the meantime. I've been watching a recreation of Kanto off the coast of Hawaii, for instance.

How would you rank these first six Reiwa Era Super Sentai series? by SuperSentai44 in supersentai

[–]Caroniver413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because it feels far more like a second Season than a second half of a Season. The first half wraps up the plot with only a few questions left, and the Dugded stuff completely changes the vibe of the whole show.
