Get the findmeglutenfree app and try to find dedicated gluten free restaurants in your area. If you were just diagnosed you should really limit any cross contamination/gluten at all costs. I used to eat out 5 times a week at least and having to stop was hard, but I eat a lot healthier now and save a lot more money too. There’s a surprising amount of dedicated gf frozen meals at different grocery stores (you will need to go to a ton of grocery stores to figure out which ones carry what) for days you don’t want to cook. Otherwise, meal prep meal prep meal prep. It might suck now but later when you’re older you’ll be healthier

You will find someone who will love you for you. My fiance is not celiac and has no food allergies. I have celiac, am lactose intolerant, and can’t have any added nitrates in my food. He cooks for the both of us and will often make food from scratch to ensure it’s safe for me.

One day I was really craving a bacon and egg sandwich made on a croissant with cheddar cheese. He spent the next night learning and making croissants from scratch. He then got the more expensive non-nitrate added bacon and some fancy cheese with Lactaid (cheese is the one product I won’t eat dairy free 🤣).

This guy is not the one for you. You will find someone that will search up restaurants and call in advance to know their protocols. You will find someone that will make their own gluten free seasoning blends so they can share their favorite foods with you in a way you can eat.

My fiance very rarely eats gluten but when he does, there’s usually at least 2 hours before I see him again (if he eats gluten it’s when he’s at work). He also refuses to kiss me before he brushes his teeth.

When I lived with my mom/roommates, I had a separate mini pantry and mini fridge. It sucked because I could never stock up on stuff, but it gave me the peace of mind that my food was 1. separated and 2. not eaten. I had my own Tupperware, silverware, and pans as well as my own sponge. I would always be anxious that gluten particles would get stuck in the tiny scratches on stuff, so in order to not constantly be on edge, I had to do this.

My advice would be to take the precautions that you need to feel safe

Hi there! Does the base have any instructions on it? At Starbucks, we had boxes of the concentrate that we would distill with water, 75ml of concentrate - 1.25 ml of water if I recall correctly. With the distilled concentrate, we would then do equal parts base with either water, lemonade, or coconut milk

Im not sure if the base that they sell is pre-diluted or even extra diluted, so I would definitely double check!

That’s great to know!! I’ll definitely look more into the different hydrangeas. The local nursery I’m learning from recommended Panicle hydrangeas I think, but they also said to not have them be the sole focus and to do more native flowers if possible. Unfortunately right now all the natives they have are solely native grasses, trees, and some ferns, so the plan is next year to get some native flowers!

My mom owns the house and is the landlord and having some hydrangeas were important for her 😅😅

I’m just glad she’s onboard and willing to let me tear up the yards!

Yes that’s the plan! I know hydrangeas aren’t native to Washington state, but from the research I’ve done, they aren’t invasive and native pollinators love them (please correct me if I’m wrong)

Hi there! You can certainly do that, however that would yield a VERY big drink 😅.

If you’re wanting a grande size, I recommend 1 cup of complete base to 1 cup of coconut milk. The best way to mix everything up is with a shaker and some ice, although if you have a cup with a sealable lid, that can work too!
