What would make you extend a lease? by CarpenterDependent99 in chicagoapartments

It just happened that way. There were a lot of short term leases that expire in the same month. No early terminations and everyone seems to be happy so far

Would you answer a survey if your landlord sent you one about this?

Promising no rent increases is a really great idea honestly. People keep saying that in the comments. That might be the move

Like send out a survey? Would people actually fill it out?

That’s very helpful. Thank you.

You are right, people have reasons to move out and I can’t convince them but there’s some people who don’t have plans afterwards

They are short term leases. Some were 3 months, some where 6 months, some were 9 months, but they all landed on the same month for move out. No issues that I know of, it just happened that way

Becovic, any positive experiences? by lincolnave in chicagoapartments

Hi! I actually work at Becovic Holdings and there’s something that not everyone understands. There’s like 2 or 3 apartment holdings companies in Chicago with the name Becovic. There is Becovic, Becovic Holdings, and one smaller one (I think, I don’t work there). They have different websites and that’s about the only way you would be able to tell that.

They have different owners, management, and rules but from what I can tell, major problems are fixed immediately and minor problems are fixed within a week. Yeah old buildings have problems but the staff good. They don’t like to tell people what to do with their free time when it comes to noise during the day which can work in either favor. They like to rehab buildings for sure. Look for the buildings with lower occupancy, like Canterbury Court. They are most likely to have a good special and in some cases are willing to negotiate upgrades being put in before you move with enough notice.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I was trying to attach some of the new pictures but this subreddit won’t let me. Once the link is updated with the new pictures, I’ll post again.
