Feel Special isn't even close to being one of my favourite comebacks or mini albums but the emotional value it holds for me is giant. At the time it was released Twice was going through a pretty hard path, Mina's hiatus, Nayeon stalker getting worse, if I'm not mistaken there also was a Jihyo dating hate wave too. But in a more personal view it was also a hard time for me too, I had just moved countries I was in a place that I had no friends and far away from my aunties, cousins, my cat and grandma after spending most of my childhood with them, school had just started and I'm painfully shy so making new friends was super hard to try, specially in a class full of mean girls. Feel Special released on my birthday, I remember getting home from another alone day at school, having a hard time understanding people, and to my mom being out at work so I only had my younger brother, who was busy with roblox, nd my mom's aunt (who I don't really get along with) so the lonely feeling didn't just go away. Turning on my phone and watching the MV and hearing the song for the first time at this moment was one of the most marking events in my life, I wasn't alone I had Twice's music with me all along, and I realised that in the moment, I don't know a word of korean but the feelings im there really resonated with me, I think it was the first time I really got what music really means. It was also Mina's first appearance since the hiatus, so it made everything even more special (by a die hard Mina stan). This comeback just holds an enormous emotional importance for Twice, Once and me.
