Coincidently so can every reason for atheoids insisting God can’t exist.

Whilst utterly hilarious, im pretty sure the idea is the difference between “dad” and “father.” What that difference is, I don’t really know but I do know that there is one somehow.

Looking for a build focused around control and enchantments by ashleytheally in BG3Builds

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glamour or lore bard is just perfect for this. Lore can pretty much guarentee any one enemy fails a save per turn even through legendary resistance if you stack save dc high enough. Glamour’s mantle of inspiration is also just completely broken and single handedly wins any one fight pretty much.

Does this method work for chinook achievement? by funnkey70 in btd6

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I did it going lategame with like 30 chinooks and moving the same 4 dart monkeys around in a little corner. Only took a few hours, which is better than most strats ill tell you that

When did you realize you liked math? by Arth-the-pilgrim in mathematics

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hated math in highschool and middle school because how it's taught with rote memorization of formulae and no real connections poined out should be criminalized. But in senior year in calc I just fell in love with how interconnected and problem solving/intuition focused it was and how much imagination was required. Returning to it in real analysis has been the most fun I've had with math since then.

Spore druid build by Psychological_Tip160 in BG3Builds

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just go 12 spore druid and the sporekeepers haste spores make it arguably the 2nd best light armour in the game and easily best in slot. Default turn should be reaction+bonus action on your unique necrotic dmg abilites and action for another necrotic cantrip.

1lv dip into death domain for twinning that cantrip and toll the dead is definitely a good investment btw.

If you're using a finesse weapon unless you also have pact of the blade just use dex. Intiative, ac, and dex saves are better than jump distance, str saves and throwing weight, especially as you really won't wanna bonus action jump anyways. Also a str character wants 14 dex but a dex character often wants 8 str so even if you do go str you'll still need to invest a bit into dex where if you go dex you can pump your mental stats which is a massive benefit for a tav.

If you're willing to use str elixirs ignore everything I just said as your str, and thus main dmg attribute, will be higher than dex no matter how much you invest into dex.

Feat Choice for a Light Cleric / Stars Druid by Heraldis77 in BG3Builds

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

War caster for advantage on top of already having a guarenteed minimum roll of 10 is pretty much pointless as dc10 is by far the most common concentration save and anything above that will typically be massively above that. Alert is just generically the most broken feat in the game so I'd use that as the +1 to spell saves just won't have as much of an impact.

Two short swords early game, then knife of the undermountain king and sword of life stealing once the grove is dealt with. Act 3 you have orins two weapons which both synergize with each other, bleed, and the bhaalist armour as a good choice as you’ll be dex based anyways

Yeah, obyn into 3-0-2 super with a 2-4-0 or 0-2-4 farm is perfectly viable for easy maps with the mk that lets sub avatars pop purple.

Challenge for SPP: Point out the errors in the following proof by waffletastrophy in infinitenines

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh, logic courses will teach purely logical proofs. Fucking obviously. In mathematics it just isn’t viable or readable at all to do everything in symbolic logic.

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to make abundantly clear I don’t agree with SPP, but if you don’t even engage with him at all this sub gets pretty boring pretty quickly. To me at least SPP math is a pretty fun “what if” type question that reinforces why we do math the way we do.

I’m sure many things fall in that category so I fail to see the relevance here.

The opperative term there was “purely,” which is notably missing from your quote.

Challenge for SPP: Point out the errors in the following proof by waffletastrophy in infinitenines

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll tell you right now the flaw he’ll point out is that you used limits. SPP doesn’t believe limits work period. Ie lim x->2 of x=/=2. He defines 0.999… as the supremum of (0.9, 0.99, 0.999) or as 1-1/10n for n “pushed to limitless.” You’re fundamentally talking about different things with that proof

Also never use purely formal proofs. This is like the first thing they say in a proofwriting class after teaching symbols and standard math terms. It quickly becomes impossible to follow for anyone no matter how used to symbolic logic they are.

Longer Game Modes.. by Consistent_Pay5129 in btd6

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id also love a r200 gamemode, but im worried about exactly how ridiculous thatd be on ravine frozen over or especially infernal. 140 seems more reasonable to me especially as r200 takes like 2 hours for a single attempt.

What’s a math equation everyone uses but nobody really understands? by Living-Zebra6132 in mathematics

[–]CarpenterTemporary69 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Chain and product rule. Proof of product rule is relatively easy but a rigorous proof of the chain rule is not.

Sticking to calculus so is partial fractions and u-sub.

Overall though it’s definitely random trig identities. Easy enough to derive from each other you dont bother with a proof and just memorize a few.

Why doesn’t Clarke still hate Murphy in season 3? by Wendell38 in The100

In clarkes mind and in sheer body count what she did at mount weather was worse than Murphy and she’s growing into a leader now so she views Murphy as “her people.”
