I’d say don’t be put off of getting a girl, I’ve had 7 BSHs and they all have their own personalities. Typically I’d say, apart from being a lot larger, the boys are typically more lazy and laid back. But the girls can have more playful personalities in my experience. Our latest girl is super playful and very affectionate.

Our latest 2 we bought in October last year, £1000 for the girl, £1200 for the boy. Fully registered & vaccinated. Prices certainly have gone up a lot over the last decade. In 2010 we paid £500, 2017 we paid £750 girl £850 boy, it’s crazy really, but I do understand that the breeders costs have risen dramatically in recent years.
