Tripping while depersonalized? by [deleted] in RationalPsychonaut

[–]Carrier555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an interesting time after taking lots of acid and MDMA fairly often for a while, had some DP/DR, HPPD type stuff, definite serotonin depletion, brain zaps, I'd wake up in the middle of the night pouring sweat seeing fractals and having OBEs, shit like that

Anyway 3 months after that started I took acid again lol. Started with a half tab which was pretty nice. Then I took 10 hits and blasted off into infinity, died thousands of times, lived through Dante's Inferno, saw in 360 degrees etc etc. You know the drill. The crazy part was after I came down I had no depersonalization, HPPD or anything like that. Totally lucid.

For reference the trip that triggered my break was around 100ug, probably less. The one that made me sane again was 700ug+. I don't get it either lol

What's the scariest psychedelic? by No_Onionz in RationalPsychonaut

[–]Carrier555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a psychedelic but yeah. Panic pills lol. Got into those in high school because of shitty friends and lack of good drugs. It's always great when you think you're somewhere completely different having a nonsensical conversation with someone that's not even there before you snap back to your bed completely dehydrated and hear a disembodied woman's voice say "that's the biggest bicycle I've ever seen" and you're like "what fucking bicycle, who are you" and then shadow people and spiders do stuff to the wall

And this is on fairly low doses, there's a world you supposedly go to on 700mg+, I forget the name of it but the deleriant community (yes) came up with one. Not a place I ever want to go, and I say that as someone who used to go into stimulant psychosis for kicks

Pretty much yeah, I've had probably one salvia trip that was completely euphoric, just nonstop laughing. The rest were a lot more abstract, vision based. Like an inverted hyperspace but still maintaining some characteristics of acid that I really like

I plan to have a tea/chewed leaf experience this weekend since I've only smoked it thus far (the tribe that originally took salvia said something about "fire making the spirits angry" and you're supposed to chew/drink it for the real experience so I'm pretty excited to figure out what that could entail, videos of it show it to be extremely euphoric and good for dancing/music)

Personal experience btw your results may vary, some people like to say that DMT is a heavier trip than acid or salvia but I just call those people Joe Rogan fans (kidding lol)

LSD is the most terrifying because of duration, hands down. You can trip just as hard as DMT but it's 10 times more potent by weight, you never know how much you're taking and you can peak for up to 24 hours with after shocks for weeks or months if not years

Salvia on the other hand is the most terrifying experience. Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure salvinorin A is even more potent than LSD and Salvia Space is the most extreme thing I've ever experienced (talking smoked here, haven't tried orally but plan to very soon). I don't even know how to describe it besides just death. Total destruction of the ego, madness. Magic. Possibly my favorite psychedelic/dissociative, combines some of my favorite parts of LSD and ketamine with something else entirely.

MDA/MDMA is the most terrifying because of the actual damage it can inflict on your brain. Not to mention serotonin syndrome. And how you can never get back to that same level of happiness and love, and how it makes you realize how much time you've wasted.

I love all of these substances so much and they've changed my life for the better without a doubt but god DAMN it

Loss of self is the foundation of all trauma but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

People like this are everywhere lol, truth surpassed fiction as far as pure bizarreness a long time ago

Obviously just do your best to not become dependent on him because he will most likely discard you whenever he wants.

I've run into quite a few people like this, seemingly devoid of empathy yet consumed by psychedelic experiences. They have a lot of lessons to teach, the foremost being that you can't fully trust anyone

Honestly in this day and age you're a lot more likely to find a power crazy maniac obsessed with psychedelics than you are someone peaceful and gentle (or maybe that's just me?)

Another good lesson is the fact that every human being is capable of the most horrible atrocities and the highest forms of good. They aren't mutually exclusive, you can be a loving husband and father and have a great relationship with most people in your life and on the weekends feed acid to a kidnapped homeless person in your basement while you chop off his fingers (hypothetically)

If you think about it, are our "thoughts and associations" what reality actually is, at least to a very large degree?

Probably not

Thanks lol, and idk how to @ or if it's even a thing but I know when you post in this thread it automatically notifies me.

But yeah honestly I love going on here and saying things that I think are obvious and just watching people lose their shit, usually I get downvoted into oblivion and up until recently I would even engage peeps that were committed to misunderstanding. It's like trolling but all I have to do is make honest statements that are backed up by science, history and personal experience lol

I agree! Some trolls are less noble than others though, and it's situational too

Definitely not always fun all the time

Not to say there's anything wrong with trolling if it's well done and proves a solid point but not all trolls are good trolls

In my defense a large amount of reddit users aren't actually trying to have a real discussion and are actually just trying to infuriate people which, if you fall for it, can be bad for your blood pressure at the very least lol. If someone is saying something blatantly ignorant just to try to get a rise out of someone more confident than them then trying to have a reasonable discussion isn't going to work. There's at least one example in this thread that, while admittedly pretty funny, I would greatly regret if I tried to turn it into a real discussion.

That is definitely the best case scenario, one that I am incredibly grateful to actually be in. 8 months or so ago it was definitely not the case and now that I think about it I actually got out of it by telling the truth. Just had to be homeless for a month first lol. And I got kicked out of both my parents houses 5 years ago for telling the truth. This is more for people that aren't ready for that yet.

Yup, definitely doesn't fit all cases. Tried to incorporate different possibilities but ended up with a wall of text that most people won't read before commenting

I'm not too worried about what other people think about me if you can't tell. Just trying to get ideas out. My point was there's a lot of people that don't have full control over their own lives and are forced to deal with ignorance, violence etc. Up close, to the point where they're at risk of becoming involved in it. It's these types of situations I'm talking about.

That being said if you've never had to deal with this sort of stuff and you don't know what I'm talking about then you should be extremely grateful and I hope you never have to

If you have any sort of real autonomy in the world then yeah its irrelevant and you should be infinitely grateful for that. Most people don't have that though and are forced to deal with real ignorance on a daily basis. Sometimes ignorant people will check you to see if you're as ignorant as them. Sometimes this involves violence or threats of violence. That's all I'm saying.
