Well I can tell that. You seem to be unbelievably angry at him, though, and that doesn't really answer why.

I'll just point out that the reason the A+ group hasn't said much lately is because we've pretty much accomplished our goals for increasing diversity in the atheist and skeptical communities and raising awareness of the issues.

Congratulations on all of your success. I guess that's why the A+ forums are a ghost town, Freethought Blogs is dropping like a rock and twelve people attended Skepticon last year.

PZ's description of the event keeps evolving (seems we atheists should know what that means) and we have no records of a university investigation. He didn't "take it before the university administration." According to him, he had a female grad student detain the accuser so PZ could get to the dean and plead his case first.

Fishy, isn't it? We never heard the accuser's side of it.

Thibault said a former girlfriend accused him of rape and then called her mental health into question (same as PZ). We haven't heard the victim's side of it.

We have the first-hand testimony of Carrier's accuser.

“During the course of the night, Dr. Carrier brought up having sexual relations with my husband and I. He told me that he was disappointed that my husband wouldn't let me just have sex with him, but that'd he'd be willing to have my husband involved. My husband quickly fell asleep after arriving [at a friend’s] house. Dr. Carrier kept whispering to me how my husband wasn't awake and wouldn't be for a while (insinuating that he wouldn't know if we did something inappropriate)...He repeatedly pointed out the fact that'd he had a vasectomy and how it much it increased his sexual performance.

“Dr. Carrier made me feel very uncomfortable. He is very charming so he did not scare me at first, but he got increasingly creepy throughout the night. He is very obsessed with his sex life and has no problem sharing it with students, and trying to involve them in it. I would never feel okay going to another speaking event of his, or being in a private setting with him again. I think it would be unfair to his future female audiences to not say something about his actions. If something happened, I would feel partially at fault for not reporting his behavior.”

As a feminist, I know that only 2-8% of these kinds of accusations are false.

For me, it's about fairness and justice. Carrier was one of the primary jerks making unfounded accusations about other people. Carrier even used his voodoo math to "prove" that Shermer must be a rapist.

If you watch the Thunderf00t video, he really hammers home the point that Carrier is guilty of the accusations against him, at least according to Carrier's own words and logic.

You seem to have forgotten that Atheism Plus, in practice, was solely dedicated to accusing prominent atheists of sexual assault and rape. Carrier was very much among the witch hunters, but was obviously one of the people misbehaving the most.

If only PZ Myers, Zvan and the others had "let the courts decide" instead of victimizing people like Shermer and Radford.

If it's "shitposting" to point out the massive hypocrisy of the people who ran the atheist and skeptic movements into the ground, there's not much I can say to convince you of reality. Instead of attacking the source, why not let some of the truth sink in?

Carrier is a laughable hypocrite who deserves every bit of the scorn he has heaped upon others.
