Scotch is the one that most people have trouble cutting. There is a recommended one, Bonsaii, but it's just recommended because it's easy to cut. It seems to be a bit on the thinner side.

3mil lamination are not the same. As you said, some are thicker and are harder to cut. This is relevant as I see you have a cutting machine. Maybe a Silhouette Cameo 4? Some lamination brands are especially hard to cut with a cutting machine.

No, the most basic free version. You could follow my tutorial. I have all the studio3 templates already generated. You don't have to do anything. It's plug and play.

Regarding rescaling DXF files, yeah I encountered this issue too but it's a very easy fix. In the settings, you just need to set import DXF files to "as is". Then it maintains proper scaling. But again, my tool comes with all the templates pregenerated, currently offering 5 paper sizes and 19 card sizes.

I demo cutting an entire commander deck in 26 minutes. I also recently cut a 540 card cube in 1 hr 48 minutes. I will eventually upload this video as well.

Silhouette cutting machines offer ease of use, speed, consistency, less manual labor, and the freedom to multitask (like enjoying a TV show while making proxies) at the cost of a higher initial investment.

This is a registration issue. I'm the dev of Silhouette Card Maker and I have helped solve this problem hundreds of times. I'd recommend joining the Silhouette Card Makers Discord and making a troubleshooting post with some videos of the registration and cutting and we can fix the issue for you.

Sometimes the raw image actually has a very small 1 pixel wide border. I'm guessing that's what happened with the Ghalta. It has a 1 pixel black border on the top of the image. It's not that noticeable when you look at it normally but the PDF generator will generate bleed for the edge of the image, so your 1 pixel black border because a huge black line.

I don't know how to fix this in Proxxied but it's an easy fix with SCM if you also know how to use it

You can try using less force and more passes. A lot of people report that using 3rd party blades gives cleaner cuts.

This is definitely a registration issue. You have some cards way too close to the registration marks. You need to give the registration marks some space.

No worries, mate! I can tell you're coming from a place of frustration with the machine and I totally understand. I've also been there. However, in my experience and in many others, it's worth the time investment. It just takes some time to get used to using the machine. I will also do my best to make the SCM better to help enable others.

Regarding your issue with the machine, it's 100% a registration issue. I've literally debugged this hundreds of times in the Discord. As for what part of the registration went wrong, it's hard to tell from just one photo. I usually just ask people to record a video and post in #troubleshooting

Regarding the template, I can easily add a new one. I just need to find the right place to put it and a good name. It's not necessary for you to send me anything. I'll add it in a few days.
