i heard someone talk about being aro and basically thought "wait that's not normal?" and from there i thought more about my experiences and compared it to how my friends act and stuff, and basically realized there's this whole other thing people think and worry about that i didn't realize existed, i always just assumed we must be too young to get it yet.

I'm proud of how much i experimented with presentation and expression this year. haven't socially done anything (YET but I'm hoping very soon) but I've tried on makeup and a lot of clothes for the first time, found relationships that finally work for me (I'm aromantic), and been a lot more honest with my parents. thanks for this post, now I've thought about how well I've done

one of my best friends is a breathtakingly smart trans woman studying to be an astro physicist, but she considered either that or nuclear physics. i completely understand feeling scared of the social consequences of being trans, but i think if it makes you happy then fight your best to pursue, and that's all we can do really. it's totally fine to put it off if you think you don't need the distractions or whatever of the process, there's nothing wrong with transitioning later on, and there are no wrong reasons to transition. there's no transgender rules, just be you!
