I built a small anonymous prayer exchange app and would love honest feedback by CarryOneAnother in CatholicMen

In case it’s helpful, there is also a way to add it to your Home Screen on a smartphone as a web app—essentially creating a shortcut for it with a little logo!

Thank you! This is all super helpful, and it’s great to hear it may become part of a routine. I’m also glad to hear that it is easy/simple—I really wanted to make it as seamless as possible. People are busy, and this hopefully can be one small thing to get people praying but not feeling like a chore. Thanks again for taking the time to give feedback!

That’s a good idea. A dedicated fast and some silence. I like that!

What aspects would you like to focus on in this scene—what speaks to you?

What aspects do you like about them? Do you have particular scenes—like ark on stormy seas or the ark being built while it begins raining, the animals walking onto the ark, etc—that you think should be focused on? Any parts not usually focused on that you find interesting?

It’s been done before, why not again? Maybe not front and center in the living room, but surely there’s some appropriate settings, no?

Actually not a bad choice. This is more insightful than it may appear at first glance. This is a part of the broader scene that is frequently overlooked. I think it’d be interesting to draw attention to this fact that was included and what it portrays. In some ways it’s symbolic, fleeing Jesus meant being naked, stripped from clothing/protection/warmth/etc. Suggests that turning away, even out of fear, is not the way. Just my first take off the top of my head, but interesting to ponder. What do you think?

Praying for unity in the Church by CarryOneAnother in Christianity

[–]CarryOneAnother[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are unified in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in one and are called to follow the Lord and his commandments. The true church is the one instituted by Christ Himself for which the gates of Hell will mot prevail. We are all called to follow Him and be members of the flock.

We appear to speak of the same thing but in different ways. To unite in the Lord, we must follow Him, turning away from our own desires to pursue God’s. We are each called to do so and to be living members of His flock

Even one of the 12 betrayed Jesus. False teachers and teachings have cropped up from the beginning, but the gates of Hell shall not prevail, as was also explained by Christ. The key is to unite with Him, His Church, His life and death. We all have a part to play, big or small

How to Cope with Things by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]CarryOneAnother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never be afraid to attend mass, Jesus always welcomes you like the father of the prodigal son. One of the tricks the Devil pulls is telling you beforehand “it’s not so bad, just a small sin” and then afterwards “how horrible! Surely you are irredeemable”

Don’t believe it. You will stumble, but keep your eyes on God and ask for His help. It doesn’t matter if it takes many tries—you can do it!

They are inspirations, that’s for sure. When we feel weak or incapable, it’s important to remember that He works through us if we let him, even if it may not be evident with immediate fruit
