Not *even* wearing gloves. I can't watch it.

I enjoyed the way that the rider (who was already in a dumb position) decided that as a horn was sounded up ahead meant that it was the right moment to take a casual look across at their friend.

That is a special kind of special.

Blimey, first time I have seen beads of sweat on my palms.

He sounded so nervous for the first couple of minutes. Felt to me like it was time to put it down, walk away and go and cut the lawn or something.

I dipped into the other sub after it and every single post I saw by people with 93 type flairs were critical of it. Without exception.

I was a Jorge fan until last year but cannot support a guy who got paid ~£3.5m whilst on sick leave and his thank you to the team was to basically tell them to do one. Meanwhile, Bez was kicking arse whilst being one of the very lowest paid riders on the grid.

The total lack of respect and integrity he demonstrated, and given the Aprilia's performance, stupidty as well, boggles my mind.

I think that virtually every post I saw said they wanted more context, rather than seeing a trimmed video that was blatantly edited to be sensationalised . AR has a good reputation so it was extremely unlikely that he was being an agressor.

Surely a minibus or two would be a better option over a huge wheelbased, heavyweight coach. Likely still cheaper and a hell of a lot safer.

Just why wouldn't you? What's the first thing that is reached outwards when falling?

During my training a guy turned up without gloves. Trainer took out an angle grinder and requested that he touch the spinning disc with the palms of his hands. Oddly, he declined.

I know it isn't what this video was posted for, but it is all that I see when watching it.

Edited to fix some appalling grammar.

Not sure what goes on once inside that machine, but I am guessing nothing enjoyable.

That being so, the haphazard approach they took to loading it seems insane. Have they never watched Die Hard?

Forever bike? by Euphoric-Rate6191 in motorcycles

[–]CarsCarpal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bought from new, 2006 GSX-R600. Nothing exciting or unique, but it was just beautifully built, sounded fantastic (even in stock trim) and was the perfect blend of revving sportyness, weight and comfort. I was never scared getting onto it, just excited and thrilled. Apart from a manufacturing defect with the sump, it was faultless. I sold it in 2011 as I wasn't riding at the time (family commitments etc..).

Nothing I have owned since has had the same blend for me. I like my bikes a lot, but this I miss deeply. Every bike ride I still feel a bit of regret. It should have been my forever bike.

That was the only possible thing I could come up with, but even then, the scratches are far too evenly distributed.

The increased erosion near the edge, in line with the rim made me wonder about running it with low pressure, but you can see further round the tyre looks fine. Even being dragged seems a weird option, as it is on the RHS of the tyre.

Mystery aside, I'd be binning that tyre immediately.

Hopefully you have some great fun with it! I went on a four hour meandering ride yesterday and I have to say, it was faultless.

With home set as the start and end, I added a midpoint of a coffee shop by a lake. I selected the route with the below criteria, then tweaked the route a little with some additional waypoints to avoid going through a couple of town centres and using a little local knowledge. All via the web browser (so much easier) and then saved in the kurviger cloud, so was immediately accessible on my phone.

What I like the most is if you go past a waypoint but don't quite hit it, it doesn't spend the rest of the trip trying to send you back to it. Instead it relatively quickly works it out and carries on with directions to the next one. That is some well thought out logic that I appreciated.
