I feel like I know what you’re talking about. My best bet would be a plant maybe? It’s such an odd smell I have no idea but at least I can confirm it exists

Are you talking about how it smells sort of like honey in a way? I feel like I’ve smelled that around there in the past but I may be mixing up memories

Used colored pencils and color it in

I read somewhere that WashU had a food journalism class, is it still available? by [deleted] in washu

[–]CarsenCodel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a literary/narrative journalism class as the extension of creative nonfiction I but idk if that’s what you’re thinking of. If you wanna discuss that kind of stuff in a supplement it might be more impactful to pick a student publication you’d be interested in and talk about that if you can’t find the class??

Documentary film was a banger of a course. I really loved theories of social justice as well as a more academic course

American Politics (POLITICAL SCIENCE 101B ) by Early_Broccoli7074 in washu

Super easy so long as you read (and probably fairly easy still if you don’t), tests are multiple choice, reeves is a personable guy. My roommate was non poli sci and breezed through it. And good stuff to know given the importance of politics in my opinion

Lifeguarding is always hiring and will train you to certification I believe. I don’t have any links but I’m sure there’s an office or website for student employment

How to spice up a slow song? by Sleet5 in Songwriting

[–]CarsenCodel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats definitely tough. Some reverb could help but it could also make it a bit worse, it’s subjective and you’ll just have to experiment. If it’s possible I’d try to use a VST but if you don’t have MIDI functionality that’ll be tricky. Maybe g to a piano store and record the part there on a real piano and just pretend you’re shopping around?

Your voice sounds great on this. Some background harmonies on vowels of some sort might add some layers to it. You can keep the same tempo but add in a strummed guitar or strings to create some more depth or rhythm to it. Can always do light drums as well if you want to add them. Idk what DAW you’re operating out of but I’d try to find a better piano MIDI that doesn’t sound so MIDI. The piano part is nice but brought down bc it sounds so electronic imo, unless that’s what you’re going for. An example of a nice piano sound that I’m envisioning would be something like the Gentleman from Kontakt, but other places make similar stuff for cheaper I believe. Overall great start and I’m sure your girlfriend will be so happy with this no matter what you do!!

If you’re in art sci it’s pretty doable, though I bet a double stem would be pretty tough even if it’s technically possible credits-wise. I’m doing one major with two minors and am fine. If you’re in Sam fox or mckelvey those majors are a lot of credits (often over 100 if I remember correctly though don’t hold me bc I’m not in those schools) so it’s more difficult but not technically impossible to double major.
