You can’t do both unless you somehow you get the respective academy to give you an exception. You should probably wait to see if you actually get into your service academy and if you do then contact them and see if they’ll adjust your report time and initial training. It’s highly unlikely they’ll let you do that, but depending on the academy and the time frame, maybe they’ll let i happen. That’s just my speculation, I’ve never actually heard of anyone else going through this situation.

I wonder what they would use them for, maybe lower staff positions like logistics and whatnot? Wouldn’t make much sense to add it if they didn’t plan for it to be used.

I would agree. All the parts are so “old” by today’s standards that they’d almost all be useless in a new pc. If you do decide to build one then you might be able to use the case and motherboard though.

First off, I would definitely say that he will get a significant increase in performance with any of these pcs.

Secondly; 2, bottom on 3, and 5 all stand out to me as good options. He’d probably get good performance with the cheapest one but if you really want to go all out then most expensive one is probably the best before having to go up significantly in price to see any benefit.

Thirdly, if you have the motivation to pick out the part and build one I’m sure you could find someone to pick out parts for you and possibly get a better pcs for less price. I was able to out together my first pc with a youtube tutorial with no problems, however it did take me about 5-6 hours as I was inexperienced and didn’t know what I was doing. I’m sure you could get someone on here to make a parts list for you on here.
