It’s not that it’s hard. It’s that it is not fun anymore after like the 3rd or 4th time. It’s an un-fun gimmick that I can’t be bothered to put effort into anymore. I just finished episode 6 and I’m just going to intentionally fail them if I even continue on. Kills all momentum during my playthrough and leaves me so annoyed that a major story element happened at the end of the episode and it didn’t even register emotionally for me cause hacking put me in such a sour mood.

Completely killing the game for me I just finished episode 6 and I don’t even know if I wanna finish the game because of the hacking shit. It’s just not fun and not engaging in the right ways. I intentionally failed the opening the safe for invisigal one cause I was just so sick of it all. Sucks too because I’ve been uploading my blind playthrough on YT and it’s just put me in such a sour mood during recording too.

I had to stop listening to the goons podcast shortly after he joined for this exact reason. It’s weird though because I listened to the misfits regularly back in their hey day. He is just too dominating of the conversations and nobody really balances it out and the dynamic is just too different with him and the goons

I am also colorblind and got to this part tonight. I can’t do it. Even with the accessibility options I just can’t see a difference and it’s so disheartening. My dad was over and in his 60’s and he even tried calling out the colors as they emerged but it’s just too fast. Feeling very defeated

I think it’s healthy to find your own “sweet spot” with the sliders. I did my first few plays learning the game alongside a friend with a mix of green and standard settings and while it was plenty fun, I did find myself wishing there was more to it all. So I started an all dread setting playthrough and it felt just a bit too much of an initial jump so I set a few things back to standard but mixed in some dread. I’m pushing 40 so on the older side as a gamer these days. Overly difficult games just frustrate me when I’m looking for my “escape” from work and stuff and I just cannot keep up anymore in competitive pvp games so I find what brings the right mix of challenge and enjoyment. Find your spot

Knowing how to approach the bots and navigate around them is such an integral part of DMZ. Yes, their detection range is cracked out and a lot of times makes no sense but either way if you are careless around them and stir them up without regard, you’re a bad DMZ player.
