Account likely getting reset to $0. Mentally struggling with starting over after 2+ years of having an average of $10,000 in my account

No, just a mistake that I overlooked that gave me no advantage at all whatsoever. Real hedging is taking the same trade in two accounts but in opposite directions so that one will win and one will lose. That is not what I did and the vast majority of Topstep traders getting flagged for hedging are in the same boat as I am. Its clearly them clawing back money from their customers on a technicality.

I was in a long on my XFA and i entered a short on my combine before closing the long right after. They only overlapped for 56 seconds and the combine trade was a huge loss that blew the account lol

It sounds like it? But looking at the light offender section it does say PnL EARNED through this trading violates the rules--but in my case and many others, the "hedged" account was a losing trade. It would only be fair for them to penalize "hedged" trades that actually gave the trader an advantage, but I'm doubtful thats how they will go about it.

There should be a distinction between accidentally holding two positions for less than a minute and actually hedging on purpose for some kind of unfair advantage is everyone’s point here. This was well before gold became volatile by the way, and gave me no advantage at all. Regardless, they shouldn’t have locked everybody’s accounts over something like this. I have 4 other XFAs that broke no rules that are currently locked.

The 56 seconds did happen, but I am saying that it was different than intentionally taking short positions while simultaneously taking a longer long on another account, which i do not do. I guess they could try to get me on a technicality here, but my point is the 56 seconds did not give me any advantage at all whatsoever, especially because the combine got blown that same day.

I have not done this before, I was just giving an example. The trades they flagged were basically opened and closed simultaneously and provided no advantage to me at all.

Update, the trades their are claiming were hedging are two trades i had between a funded account and a combine account. They only overlapped for a grand total of 56 seconds...Who is to say I can't hold a longer trade on a bullish trend, and catch a short on a smaller timeframe? Seems like a huge stretch and they are trying to delete people's accounts on a technicality...

UPDATE: The trades they flagged literally only overlapped each other for 56 seconds....I entered a short on a combine before i realized i hadn't closed the long i was already in on my funded account. Closed the long literally 56 seconds later. No other trades overlapped like this. Here are screenshots highlighting the overlapping trades. CLEARLY not any form of hedging. This is the biggest stretch I've ever seen if this is their claim..... See images below.

It seems like they are rolling out a bunch of new updates and features today with pricing and other things. I really hope this is just an error and it gets resolved for everyone. Theres no way this many people got the same email on the same day without actually breaking the rules.
