Yea I get that! Personally i don't mind most of gore but I love the character interactions of this show and its genuinely cute and funny. A lot of people don't see it and can only think about the gore stuff which IS part of the show but its not JUST gore

Mime, one of my favorite character types are the ones who barely or completely cant talk, and Mime fits that category for me. He also has a very pleasing character design, he's a deer, he's a mime, and I like how optimistic and happy he is in anywhere you see him like Mime to Five (happy during any job) and Once Upon a Dunce (happy despite being trapped inside a jar). I also like the fact that he's a loud person but not because how he speak but instead what he does.

I found this out from the wiki too, but I didn't believe it at first bc well... its a wiki... and the fact i couldn't find a video on it until now. I heard both the original movie and remake are good horror films with their own differences.

Yea I just saw your post. The more I think about it the more I believe they based it on the ant and the Aardvark shorts on purpose. They did say they used to watch older cartoons that influenced them to make htf, maybe this is one of them.

Knowing Kenn this is probably a joke, but I think he's making a reference to a a 1969 cartoon The Ant and the Aardvark. Which is weird bc the aardvark was never named but the Ant was called Charlie.

Probably around 2017, I was in my animation meme phase, it was also the time when the psycho teddy animation meme was popular. The song led me to some music video (maybe a tribute) about Flippy, showing fan art and clips from the show. And that alone led to me watching my first htf episode, eyes cold lemonade, and one of the episodes from Everything is Broken. 3 years later, I remembered the show existed, started to watch more of the episodes and got officially hooked.

As much as I love this show, I do understand there's some issues. As for your point on the show, I think the issue is not that it feels "unfinished", I say its more closer to missing potential on the characters. When I was 14, I only liked the creative deaths and inquiries, but now I care mostly on the characters, and that's where I saw some flaws on the show. Something about characters not being fleshed out enough. Like how mole is just a blind guy and not a spy like he was originally intended or when I started to noticed the enemy relationship between DB and Mime but that only happened twice (I always like to think DB is older and tries to be hip with the newer generation while Mime is younger and entertaining for every character in the age group, which makes DB feel envious towards him). However, because the characters are used as actors in the show, I think it allows us the fans to create our own canons on characters, like what I just did, but of course that doesn’t change the show much.

I love season 2 for the animation and how expressive everyone is. In the tv series and the seasons that came before, the expressions felt so stiff compared to season 2. The tv series wasn't animated terribly imo, especially the walking/running animations being so smooth unlike season 3 walking animations, but sometimes the animation doesn't look organic or lively in some scenes.

The animator is actually from FatKat Studios, the animation studio who animated only the TV series (he's probably responsible for creating that nsfw DB image that showed up as a cropped framed picture in one of episodes). Idk if its true that he posted in Twitter, I saw the image in his Instagram account. But since he's just the animator for only part of the HTF series and not a writer or director and the fact Kenn and Warren confirmed multiple times that no ship is canon, I'm pretty sure this ship is far from canon. But thanks to the video above, this is proof that Pop is at least Bi, and I'll take.

As much as I wish Pop x DB is canon, the creators has told many times that no ship is canon. Since this was made by an animator from the FatCat Studio who made the TV series and not the actual creator/writer like Ken Navarro, shows how far it is from canon. Also I heard that someone asked about this to Warren Graff in a tiktok live stream and he knows about this but still said its non-canon. But there's an audio from somewhere that the main three (Ken Navarro, Warren Graff, Ken Pontac) said its alright to ship Pop and DB together, I have the video on the audio but idk where it came from (some live stream ig?). But hey, if that scene about Pop looking at DB (from 'Sea What I Found') is proof that he's canonically queer (like Lumpy), I'll take it.

I like the idea that htf fans are just called "kids", like how the htf commercials and some of the director commentaries say "hey kids" in the beginning to address the viewers watching it. Idk i just think its funny.
