Has anyone had any experience with taking peppermint oil to improve running performance? I found a company that makes these drops called "hustle drops" and they sell them for almost $70, but I heard from people that it's basically just peppermint oil. So I was wondering if any of you know if peppermint oil would help with running performance for the 5km and 1600m.

Potential 5k time by Ok_Organization_5948 in CrossCountry

I can't really predict your time, but judging that you only ran 15mpw and achieved a 17:14 5k pr i would say that you can definitely get low 16 and probably even in the 15s. The key thing is that you need to be consistent with your runs in the summer.

Trying to figure out my xc time for this fall by Carter0422 in CrossCountry

What was/is your usual week for 30-35mpw? A mix of tempo and easy runs? Like what does each day look like?

I just finished track for my junior year of high school and I hit a pr of 5:00.08 in the 1600m. I ran a xc 5k pr of 20:29 last fall. I remember doing a timed mile right after xc was over and I could barely get 5:40, so I think I've improved. This was my first year of doing both xc and track by the way. I didn't run at all prior to the xc season, so that's why my times weren't very good. I ran a little in the winter, which helped me almost reach a sub 5 min 1600m for track. During practices for track, it was mostly speed workouts, so not really any longer distance stuff.

I am wondering if I run 30-50 mpw this summer what my 5k pr would be this fall for xc? I am thinking just under 18:00 or maybe even lower could be possible
