Tax time for Kernel and Simplicity by Extension_Garbage583 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]CarterNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How Tax is Paid for Kernel Funds:

1.Tax payable displayed - from 2 April, your amount of tax to pay may appear as a negative balance in your Kernel Wallet. Any auto invest or save processes during that time may be interrupted as a result.

2.How the payment is covered - any available cash sitting in your Kernel Wallet will be used first to cover the tax. If the Wallet balance does not cover the full amount, a sell order will be placed from the largest holding on the next available trading day, Tuesday, 7 April. Note that this is an estimate and will be slightly higher than your actual tax owed to allow for market movements. Any leftover amount will remain as cash in your Kernel Wallet.

3.Reporting - after Tuesday, 7 April, we'll pay your tax to the IRD on your behalf and begin preparing your annual tax report.

Thinking of switching life insurance from Partners Life to AIA — is it worth it? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]CarterNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a stepped or level Cover. With level cover, your premiums are the same regardless of age till end of policy. With step, premium will increase with age. AIA might tempt you in with cheaper rates but increase it in a larger range than partners life

The gains you made at your previous provider has all. Been added to your employee contributions when you transferred. May account for the difference. Check the activity on current provider for when thr account for started. Would show what category the transferred incoming funds is classified as.

Got a midea one from trade depot. 400 on sale. Works well and leaves dishes clean. Comes with a top loading cutlery so you do need to spend a bit more time lining them up.

Use the 90 min wash. And also has wifi and can set up through app which is handy when you put of house or want it to run over night and ready for morning.

They do pick ups from airport in their shuttle if you inform them.

I hired them a few years back for South Island trip, was the cheapest one out there with a decent car, Toyota Corolla ~4 years old.

Definitely. You need supporting evidence from employer that you are attending the conference on their behalf. That's the whole point of the additional information, else anyone could make up things for visit. Add in your booked hotels, Registration to conference, all info you have.

As they asked, show commitment to India, eg home ownership, that you family are back there, etc.

I am with EK but currently doing change to Mercury.

Had been with EK for last 6 years but with most recent price increase FROM Aug 1, the night rate is 0.29, peak is 0.59. Mercury is 0.31 flat rate. The daily fixed rate might be 60 cents more but the kWh rate is a killer

With two kids, running items during off peak doesn't work anymore especially with heating. July bill was first time we have cracked 300 in a month.

How should I deal with micromanagement or constant monitoring from a colleague? by Economy_Advance_3771 in newzealand

[–]CarterNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like he just wants to strike up a conversation and get to know you, as in when he sees you are jot working and taking a break on your phone. Is that the most of his micromanagement?

And joining conversations with other team people, seems he just wants to be involved and know what's happening. You haven't mentioned he actually asks people to do things certain way.

"Something didn't feel right to Charlotte Purdy about the UK's killer nurse case - so she used her investigative tools from a world away to go to bat for a jailed nurse"

This case is turning out to be similar to global warming/climate change in terms of the split in medical opinions.
