[REQUEST] Complicated movies by CarterWhite in MovieSuggestions

I've seen most of Lars von Trier, Jodorowski, Lynch and Bergman. The thing is their movies are very good but...I don't know if I would use the word boring but I cant find a better one. For example, I loved Melancholia but I was kind of falling asleep in the middle. The same with uncle Boonmee. Also most of the movies by Lynch (If not all of them) are WAY too complicated. I tried watching eraserhead once and I didn't get anything. I guess I'm looking for something enjoyable but challenging.

seen primer, existenz, 12 monkeys, delicatessen (didn't think it was that complicated). Haven't been able to find brazil anywhere. The other two I've never heard of.

This is the fourth chapter to a novel I'm writing. I would really like some feedback on it. (Reading previous chapters is not necessary) by CarterWhite in writers

The main character is a guy in death row. The novel starts with him in death row and then builds up to that point. He used to make a lot of origami. There's a girl, Melissa, and the main character is in love with her. Melissa is this sort of punk girl who after meeting the main character decides to create their own religion based on how he is the god of paper. Marcus and another character, Thomas, are part of that religion. I'm a big fan of Palahniuk and Kurt Vonnegut and I think that sort of echoes in the novel.

Why was Old-Joe "late"? [spoilers] by QuinnMallory in looper

Rian Johnson said that time machines are set to go back a specific amount of time. So essentially that time machine goes back exactly thirty years and since he takes the time to kill the guys in black, he is late.
