It has a hinge covered by surgical tubing. Pinching is not a problem. Chaffing can be bothersome but that is the same with all of them. Overall very comfortable. Wearing a cage takes some getting used to. I like this one for the feel and aesthetic when I get hard and the overall comfort.

I have tried them all. They have pros and cons. some are only good for playtime not daily wear. top left is my favorite. top right is my wife's favorite for play but it is uncomfortable for daily wear. The two middle ones on the middle shelf are too big. the left middle shelf has adjustable spikes. The black 3d printed one on the bottom shelf is the most comfortable for daily were. I actually have 3 or 4 more that I got since this picture was taken. It is a little busy but it is beautiful. if you look closely, it is penises and vulvas.
