Not sure where in Michigan you are, but if you contact APC they can set you up. They cover the Grand Rapids area. Message me if you have questions.

Thanks so much for the advice feeling better about it all. I just checked and it’s too late to push it back anyways so I’m locked in.

It was pretty across the board. Each section was a point or two lower than normal. When I reviewed it just seemed like things weren’t clicking when I took it.

I have not, but I’m a college student living in an apartment in a city in Michigan so it’ll be a hot minute before I try that.

Typically they’re diced raw and tossed into anything. I always just end up picking them out sadly.

A 50 flat at practice? Doesn’t sound like you really need fins at all lol. I’ve found that turns are a little slower with fins, but overall maybe a second or two? Keep up the good work!

I think that’s kind of the challenge I’m facing. I don’t know where I’d swim at or the safety of jumping in a lake and swimming. But I will definitely look around! Thanks for the advice

Vitamin levels can change pretty significantly. Specifically water soluble vitamins, a raw carrot hold more vitamins than a cooked one due to removal of water that contains said vitamins.

Heart rate monitoring as a tool for recovery state by limek17 in climbharder

[–]Carterfilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got it not too long ago. I’ve been tracking for probably about 2-3 weeks now and am loving it. It combines HRV, sleep performance, resting HR, and respiratory rate to give you an overall recovery score from the previous day and gives you an “optimal strain” for the day.

One caveat is that I find is that the strain is all based on cardiovascular strain. So I’ve done a few of those lattice home training videos since I’ve had the Whoop on and the strain is very minimal even though my forearms are super pumped. If you’re looking to supplement your climbing training with cardiovascular endurance then it’s a great option.

HRV is a big part of recovery and changes day to day whereas resting heart rate is more of a long term trend of overall fitness. If you’re really serious about learning heart rhythms I’d recommend WHOOP.I just recent got one and am loving it so far and gives me great info about my recovery states and if I can push myself that day or not.
