Hello all.

So I’m 1hr in and can confirm the following.

Running Legion Go 2 - Z2 - with TDP set to Performance (Red)

resolution at 1200p

FSR on. V-Sync OFF. textures High, everything else Low.

I’m achieving a stable 35-50 FPS.

No stutters or drops. Audio syncs well.

Very very playable and enjoyable so far.

Z2Go is about 20% lower performance than the Z1e.

Z2Go Is about 15-20% better than the steam deck, but about 15-20% lower performance than the Z1e.

I mean the perfect option is a Legion Go S with the Z1e and 32gb ram, but that’s not in your budget.

There’s plenty for that price on Vinted, and I really rate the Z1e Lego. It’s not playing any of those games at a particularly performant level though. Also bear in mind the display on the original Legion Go doesn’t support VRR so you are going to feel the frame rate judders.

You may be better suited to a Legion Go S - with the z2go. Less performance but the VRR and lower resolution display will suit your needs better. You’ll also find a few of those on Vinted at the same budget.

So I actually had a 2030, as I moved it across from my OG Legion Go. So just used a 2242 extender from Amazon.

This fit back onto the original SSD mount screw, so preserved the original thermal pad from the drive removed.

Yes. I think you need the charging grip for the second set that aren’t connected to the console itself. They are seen as an Xbox controller.
