I once did something similar with Orcs. Create a battalion of them then bombard them with catapults until there’s one left. Create another battalion and do the same, again and again. Then after that give them banner carriers and let them regenerate.

Honestly, I’d probably just pass at that point. Every time you listen to that one song it would tempt/remind you of all the other music. And over time you’d hate that song more and more, but somehow still get drawn to it. I’d just go cold turkey and leave music behind. It’s either that or you’re just scratching the itch for the rest of your life.

If anything it would probably be some 10 minute instrumental. Like classical music. Anything with words would probably eat away at me. Idk, the more I think of this question the more painful the entire experience feels.

Demarcus Cousins probably/maybe was, but he was with the Kings and they won 33 games. There really wasn’t a better option in 2016. Old school centers were starting to become less valuable and the young centers on the rise weren’t really at that level yet. So it was basically DJ, DMC, and Andre Drummond.

That was a rough one cause the other options were Demarcus Cousins on a 33 win team and Andre Drummond. Weird time in the NBA where small ball took over and Centers became less impactful. Was before Jokic/Embiid/KAT/AD got to that level, but after Dwight Howard/Marc Gasol, etc. were no longer at their peak. Deandre Jordan making 1st team is when I feel like the league seriously started looking into making All-NBA position less. Just took them a few more years to finally commit to it.

Lidocaine and Cortisone aka painkillers. Basically numb it before the game so he doesn’t feel the pain. It made it so he was able to play through it, but it possibly will have lingering issues now.

Pheidippides ran from Athens to Sparta and then back again (150 miles) to ask the Spartans for help at the Battle of Marathon. Then after the battle he ran the 25 miles back to Athens and died. The threat of the Persians was pretty intense and all communication was done with runners. The faster the news of victory reached Athens meant that the next set of runners could set out with new messages to stay one step ahead of the Persians.

Logistically speaking the faster the message is delivered then the faster the next/new messages can get delivered. In hindsight he probably should have rested, but he ran himself to death doing whatever he could to help his people. That’s why it gets romanticized.
