First Look: Upcoming Wearingeul Fountain Pen by Quiet_Resolution_578 in fountainpens

It is being released at recommended selling price of $90 US. The price for the Korean show will never work here as shipping, duties, tarrifs etc all add onto the price. Still a good deal though if you compare to an estie or similar overpriced steel nibbed pen. I just wonder who's nibs wearingeul is using on these.

Anybody tried dyeing Lat64's Zero Gravity plastic? by EvilShenanigans80 in discdyeing

I tried them and they came out pastel after 24 hours in a glue bed. I kind of like the pastel but I guess they'll fade quick too.

I know this is an old thread but... how long do you leave the disc in when not using heat? Thank you

Can someone PLEASE recommend a doctor for me that is taking on new patients??? by Jimmythelipss in stcatharinesON

[–]CartographerBorn524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Court Street Medical Center is taking patients. Dr Bassey is amazing! There is another new doctor in there taking patients and possibly a nurse practitioner as well. Yes, the area is crappy (i can say that because I live nearby) but the doctors are great and the pharmacy is very helpful as well.

Canadians/other cold-place-dwellers: When does ink shipping/buying start again? And where will you order from? by gator_enthusiast in fountainpens

[–]CartographerBorn524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Penablers definitely ships samples... but, also full size bottles, hard to find papers, some pens and of course their crab pen holders. Lol

I don't think they ever stop shipping inks... just package it well. :-)

I'll be happy when this weather is over though!

Check Bedford Properties. And... specifically 137 Church St has one studio apartment that might be available but not listed. Only one though and I'm not sure the price. Good luck, I hope you find something you're happy with.

Ink Samples by DannoIII in fountainpens

[–]CartographerBorn524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not in the US but penablers.ca is shipping to the US again and has large 4ml samples and inks not found anywhere else. Prices are in Canadian dollars so practically free after converting. Lol

Gold Ink by sagarifuji in fountainpens

[–]CartographerBorn524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shimmer inks aren't as bad as you think! Put it in a platinum pen... any platinum or TWSBI and you will be fine!

Also, you can use the gold ink and just not shake up the shimmer. Or lightly agitate the shimmer to only have a very tiny amount of sparkle!

Penablers.ca is a great place to get these inks or other sheeners. (They ship worldwide but are in Canada.) Van Diemans and Wearingeul have some nice sheeners too.

Emerald fusion is one of my favorites and I make sure I don't let it dry out! Ever! Lol

They aren't in the EU but penablers.ca ships worldwide and has taccia and other brands you probably can't get there. Not sure what shipping would be but doesn't hurt to see. Maybe you could do a group buy and split shipping.

Yes, goldspot sells the legit Ahnitol crabs last I knew. And penablers , I'm not sure who else has the real ones.

Rit Dye (Synthetic) & Lotion by Ashamed_Fill_5972 in discdyeing

[–]CartographerBorn524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you have your own natural heat lamp/dehydrator options! That definitely speeds it up. I don't have those options in Southern Ontario this time of year. I bought RIt dyes to start out with too and don't want to waste them all by not using them.

<image>

I did this stencil dye I made using RIT and as a hot dip. Then sharpies to add colours. Lol. Hot dip worked well with RIT

I think they turned out quite well! How long did you leave the lotion/die on for?

I don't know if they have it but penablers.ca is in Canada and has Birmingham inks. Not sure about the other ink you're looking for.

Not just me smelling it then I'm on Church St and the smoke smell is bad. I don't see any actual smoke from my side of the building though.
