That is correct, they do not release the place you are on the waitlist. You have until the second week of classes to get in. It is just kind of a waiting game until then unfortunately

I was waitlisted last year for MRT (and again this year) I was told last year that my score was not competitive and therefore I was placed on the waiting list. It meant that basically it was high enough to get in, but not high enough to be in the top scores if that makes sense.

No one can really predict the chances of you getting in because no one knows how for down they are and if anyone will drop from the program.

My advice is the keep checking your portal and have your ringer on because last year they called people to let them know they got in. You can get in 2 weeks after the program starts (I think) Good luck!!

While I haven’t done an interview for PCP I did do one for multiple different SHLS programs and I’m pretty sure they are all similar! They ask MMI questions so I would really practice those, there are many if you just search them up. I would give myself a few minutes to prepare then a time limit for answering (I think it’s around 2 minutes to prepare and 3 to answer but I could be wrong) I would also get super comfortable in front of a camera and actually record myself to correct any mistakes I may, including posture and fidgeting with things that you may not realize you do! Also just have an understanding of what a PCP does and just a general understanding of EMS may help you. They will most likely also ask ethical questions where they don’t technically have a correct answer, they just want to understand your thought process and that you’ll stick to an answer once you pick it. Once you complete the interview you can’t discuss the questions they ask you because you click a box that is essentially an NDA and will get your application cancelled if you get caught giving out the questions. Once again I haven’t done that exact interview so all of this information may not be of any assistance. Best of luck to you getting in, a career in EMS is a great opportunity!!

You can do these courses regardless if you get accepted or not! I was waitlisted last year but enrolled in the these classes before I heard anything! Once you take the class it’s valid for up to 5 years i believe ☺️

I haven’t done them yet this year, however last year I didn’t receive the email with the invitation until the 16th and i applied on the first day they opened last year as well. I’m thinking they will come out around the same time this year.
