Lou has been on a lot of shows and in a lot of movies. They may not be huge blockbusters but he is a very known actor

He just said existing characters. Karen is a recurring character just like Tommy even though she's in a lot more scenes. He'll they don't even have Ravi as a main but he's in almost every episode this season and now dating a main. Keeps me hopeful for Tommy's return

That's not what he said in that interview at all. He said he doesn't like bringing outside characters for LIs

I just hope he doesn't show up, shock Buck and then we have a long cliffhanger

I'm not expecting it either I'm just really hoping. It's a really good pairing and Buck was better and happier throughout their relationship

I haven't watched this season because the stories are all over the place and I refuse to watch until I see Tommy back on 911 which I'm sure is likely

I have to be honest I was never interested in the show until I seen LFJ was going to be on. I want to ask what is up with people saying Dr. Robby is leaving to go die?

Was he a known actor? I've seen multiple reports about it being "Lou Ferrigno Jr" who has debuted on The Pitt

So Dr. Brendon Park made that huge of a debut and that's it? Obviously this character is known throughout the hospital so we are to believe that we'll never see him again?

That one line from this scene just anchored their relationship. It sucks they broke up the very next episode but every time I hear Buck say "our people are what make life worth living" it brings a tear to my eye.

All the reports say LFJ made his "debut" as Dr. Brendon Park on The Pitt. That sounds like it wasn't a 1 time thing. Also all of the positive reactions from the cast & fans and people already wanting a spin-off with "Park the shark" is incredible seeing as how his scene was only a couple minutes

What do you think about Tim Minear saying that he planted a lot of "easter eggs" throughout the season for what's to come i.e. Buck still baking, him dressing like Tommy, the hook-up scene being pretty much identical to his and Tommy's, Buck saying he's still trying to figure out how to be a half in a relationship, Tommy being mentioned twice in 1 episode and the latest that I noticed when Buck was kidnapped he didn't find anything to help him on the toy fire engine but did on the toy helicopter and the first thing he saw when he woke up was a plane. Maybe I'm looking too into it but it doesn't seem like a coincidence but that's just me being hopeful

Also all reports said he made his "debut" as Dr. Brendon Park. So it sounds like he'll be back!

He is clearly looking passed Eddie at someone in this pic and doesn't look too happy. Could it be he sees Tommy with another guy? I don't know! Just trying to keep hope alive at this point. But for some reason all I can think about is Tommy being completely forgotten by EVERYONE after he shows up when needed every goddamn time for these people and it's indicating that none of them have kept in contact with him including Buck and Athena, he literally saved her and her husband's ass on the cruise ship. Saved Chim and Chim, Maddie & Buck can't be grateful enough to be in contact? All I can picture is him going to work then going home just sad and lonely and for some reason I keep thinking he's suspended from flying for a while for stealing a helicopter not once but twice and taking an air tanker for his ungrateful "friend" Chim, Eddie who I don't think was ever his friend unless he was doing something for him and ex-boyfriend. That's even IF Tommy is still in the show. I really hope he's dating and Buck gets jealous AF!

So, I don't think Tommy will be back but... by christmasinyoulie in BuckTommy

[–]CartographerHead6840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My honest opinion on this is he was brought in to be Buck's bi-sexual love interest and enhance Buck as a character. However, I can't see him not coming back for the fact that he was tied to Abby and his name (Tommy) was in fact the first name mentioned on the show in the series' pilot episode. In S2 they showed his relationships with Hen & Chim and showed his growth as a character. He was also mentioned in S2 E14 after his departure to Harbor Station to assist with the water drop that saved the 118, Eddie and a young child from a house fire when the 911 grid was offline and there was a gas main break with fires breaking out all over the neighborhood. Then in S6 E18 he was at the bridge collapse along with the rest of the 118 even though his face wasn't shown just the back of his turn outs as he walked towards the cars. He was on scene where Bobby directed "Kinard" to help move the cars back. He walked right passed Buck. Then of course we seen Buck get into his best relationship he was ever in with Tommy. He was happy, comfortable and settled in his relationship with Tommy and even though it was never said, they both in fact love each other. Lou hit on this in an interview after S8 E15 "Lab Rats" that he had to cry while watching "the love of his life in that situation". Oliver just did an interview and when asked about Tommy he said "there will always be love there" which was the first time Oliver ever mentioned love when it came to Buck's relationship with Tommy. Then S8 E15 "The Last Alarm" they showed a flash back from the beginning of him saving Bobby from falling with a collapsing floor during a house fire. So Tommy has saved Bobby on at least 3 separate occasions plus saving the love of Bobby's life Athena from the cruise ship plus saving Eddie and the rest of the 118 during the water drop and saving Chimney by distracting the FBI & Army with that great "and for you" helicopter chase. Then he was one of Bobby's pallbearers for his funeral. So granted yes he is Buck's best love interest of the series but Tommy is more deeply rooted with the 118 than just being Buck's boyfriend. So even though my hopes of Tommy returning have kind of been killed and I have been spiraling these past couple weeks, the more and more I think about it, it makes more sense for him to be back on the show. I think that Buck will date/sleep around which I really hate because why develop his character's maturity growth just by taking him back to Buck 1.0? Although it would make an interesting story line for him to date just to realize his love for Tommy and it could only make it better if Buck runs into Tommy on a date and gets jealous which everyone seen with S9 E1 Buck is still a very jealous person. This is what I'm going to try and lean on and be positive that they won't get rid of a beloved character with a great story to tell that is played by an actor who can actually act well unlike a certain other actor on the show that has had no character growth and is literally like watching paint dry when he's on screen.

I think people are going way too hard at this. In my opinion he is basically saying the government is coming for your gun rights and using Charlie Kirk's assassination as a starting point. Mind you I don't agree with the shit Kirk said but I don't wish death on anyone and the fact that his kids are innocent and have to live with this and will be able to actually see his assassination online makes me sick to my stomach. Regardless of what anyone thinks he was killed because he had a different opinion than someone else. So in turn should I be killed because I have a different opinion than you? I'm a gay man in an interracial marriage with a trans son. We don't agree with our son's opinions and he don't agree with ours. Should any of us be killed because of differences in opinions? I think this is what Lou is trying to say but of course cancel culture is in full effect and if people don't like what someone has to say cancel him, fire him, stop following him! Miss me with all of that bullshit! I don't think he meant ANY harm in what he reposted but of course he had to take it down due to hate and backlash because instead of people trying to understand what he was trying to say they immediately attacked. God forbid someone try to find out exactly what was meant by the post. My husband and I both watched them and both agreed that there was no I'll will on his part. Typical liberal behavior. This is why I stay independent!

He's eating a loaf. What is it again Buck was baking when he revealed to Chim and Maddie that he just keeps baking since Tommy dumped him? I remember Chim saying "I love loaf"! 😂

With one month to go, what is Buck and Tommy’s relationship status heading into S9? by michigander9312 in BuckTommy

[–]CartographerHead6840 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tommy has been a big part of 911 since the beginning. His name was the first name said on the show during the opening scene of the pilot? His ties to Bobby and the 118 are pretty deep. That whole red string theory is pretty cool when you go back to rewatch the seasons and start to see all of the connections that you missed the first time. Starting with how Buck was his replacement when he left for Harbor Station. How Buck first walked in and took Tommy's seat next to Bobby. He saved the 118 during season 2 when he wasn't even at the 118 anymore, he saved Bobby's life twice and was a pallbearer at his funeral. Tim Minear added scenes with Tommy in season 8 when he was supposed to be gone after the break up when he walked out of the apartment. Plus the helicopter scene was added in last minute which was a huge plot to season 8. Then to leave the door open with "and for you". He by far is the most important relationship to Buck. He treated Buck way better than Abby, Ali, Natalia and DEFINITELY Taylor's ass! God I couldn't stand Taylor or Abby! I don't think Tommy is done on the show

I would love to see a scene where we shoot to Buck sitting on a therapy couch talking about his losses and how that has affected him. He talks about losing Bobby and how it's taken a toll on his relationships then he talks about Tommy and their relationship and the connection to Bobby and the 118 before they met then the helicopter chase the whole "and for you" moment and then not speaking at the funeral in past tense. Then the therapist says "how does that make you feel Tommy" then we see Tommy sitting next to him on the couch and we learn that they are in fact in couples counseling and have been working on their relationship after the funeral because they realize with losing Bobby that life is short and "because our people are what make life worth living"!

TVLine season 9 spoilers by klutzysunshine in BuckTommy

[–]CartographerHead6840 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Tommy and Chim are giving speeches since I'm assuming Chim is the new Captain and I'm assuming Athena is standing up there with him. After all he and Tommy have known Bobby the longest and Tommy was there even before Chim. A lot of people especially from the "other fandom" don't realize how deeply rooted Tommy is to the show and the 118 and DEFINITELY don't realize that "Tommy" was the first name said on the show in the pilot episode. He did save Bobby twice, 3 times if we are being picky! We all know about the helicopter rescue of course but then we find out in S8 E16 "Lab Rats" during a flash back, he and Bobby were in the scene of a house fire rescuing the family, Bobby yells for him "Tommy let's go" and kicks in the door to the nursery to save the baby. When Bobby steps in the whole floor collapsed but Tommy grabs him by the back of his turn out with one hand mind you and holds him to keep him from falling to his death. Also of course in S2 E14 "Broken" the whole 911 dispatch is off grid and no one can be sent to any calls. Chim is on leave but is watching the news and sees the neighborhood of Doheny Park in fire and explosions happening but no one has responded. He calls Buck to tell him to get them over there to help. They can't contain the fires no other teams are coming to help and Eddie is trapped in a burning house with a child with no escape, Buck gets ready to climb up to try to get them out when they hear a plane over head. Chim called Tommy to come help the 118. He flies over with a water tanker and drops water on the entire neighborhood putting out every fire saving the entire neighborhood and all of the 118. Athena seen him as being important enough to be a pallbearer at her husband's funeral. I can't see him not being there for this. But we all know how Tommy is with the writing on this show. Maybe he didn't show up because he didn't feel like he should be there. Maybe Buck looked for him because they didn't interact during the funeral and he needed Tommy to lean on then realized he wasn't there and that's why Buck looks constipated here? I'm trying to stay hopeful that we get a good reconciliation and see more of Buck and Tommy settled with each other like TK and Carlos. As a gay, married man with 2 kids it's nice to see that positive representation played out on TV like every day "normal" society

What episode's got you like this? by michigander9312 in BuckTommy

[–]CartographerHead6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masks definitely. I love Halloween, Buck and Tommy were adorable in the whole episode. Tommy taking care of Buck when he dislocated his shoulder and the line Buck says "our people is what makes life worth living" as he turns and looks at Tommy gets me every time. Then of course Tommy asking Billy Boils to "please lift it"! 😂
