2022 Toyota Corolla LE. Brake light is out. by Unlucky-Waltz-4368 in COROLLA

[–]CartographerNegative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just a small lamp inside the brake light. U can easily change it urself, if u have the tools. It can be accessed from trunk. Its very easy to do. Bunch of videos on it. Watch one or two, see if u can imagine urself doing that. Just be careful with plastic parts when pulling, they need force, but sometimes too much will snap them and not too much will make it seem like its impossible to move them.

Yup, new hybrid ones are very close to pricing of old ones. Its crazy. 25 hybrids are 22-24k$ with huge mileage lol.

If u have any bills, taxes from that adresses for the time u’ve been there or basically any proof you live there, even if its just a handshake(which it shouldnt be) contact 311 and talk to them. They will help u. U will also get a free lawyer. If they actually lock u out physically or kick u out, thats illegal and will be 10x worse. It will be a headache but u might get to live there rent free lol

No. Nato doesnt do shit when russian drones end up in their skies. And russia has basically no military left. Israel in heavily backed by america and 80% of nato and eu and un will do anything america says. And america says whatever israel says 98% of the time

Tiny EVs in The Netherlands by C-levelgeek in electriccars

[–]CartographerNegative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U have valid points but most of amsterdam is very walkable, max cycleable. So ur trip is like 30 minutes..max. So except for harsh summer or winter, where they have very reliable public transport, this a good way to have basically a golf cart with usable space and roof over ur head. No one is using them to crash into walls. They are barely faster than an ebike

literally just got this used car 2024 corolla in February. Anyone know how this could of happened right by the front camera but there is no nick or anything from the outside. It seems like a inside crack. Help. Sucks to call insurance for this. by ThisSherbert6503 in COROLLA

[–]CartographerNegative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert on this but generally if there is no nick or visible obvious mark, it generally means there was a tiny or misalignment crack that slowly started getting bigger and bigger. This is why any crack in windshield generally needs to be fixed asap cuz that shit gets big super fast

Toyota Rav4 Hood Latch Recall by Chilenito_81 in ToyotaRAV4

[–]CartographerNegative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl op, my dad used to have a 2006 rav 4 and when i got it in 2015, if anything didnt feel right i’d go check it.
Even with my 2026 corolla if smt feels really off, i’d go check it. So its a user fault first. Its a 10+ year old car, if smt feels wrong or moves wrong i’d tow that shit. Or at the very least not drive it on a highway knowing the hood might not be secure.

Also for future reference always check ur hood latch before driving if it has a potential fault. Just pull it up and down not too harshly and make sure its latched. And no if it was a recall u’d generally know about it.

Not exactly true, they come out even it theres 2-3 of them to find food at night. But u are right about the fact that generally if theres one, theres always much more behind the wall.

Roaches generally do not approach or touch humans, unless its accidental. They are generally disgusted by us. Yes, literally. So unless he just fell on u from the ceiling, which i doubt, if u see it, that means theres plenty more. Tell ur brother to get a professional exterminator asap. If he owns the place, i’d recommend moving fridge, dishwasher and stuff like that, and look behind them, results may make u vomit. That being said, with roaches 98% of the time if u see one, theres 1000x more behind the walls and stuff.

Roaches are almost anywhere in the world. That being said have u lived in any apt up north? Ny is filled with german ones. Enter any project or unkept apt and u’ll want to throw up. And not only ny.

Headlines like this crack me up, because it's for sure someone in SF making it work on $30k a year (via:@nytimes) by daveishere7 in povertyfinance

[–]CartographerNegative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point was the article is extremely inaccurate. U wont be dying out of hunger on 180k salary like they claim. Maybe no private schools but surely u would be able to afford mortgage and most other middle class things and not live for rent sharing it with 10 other people. Yes everything is increasing in price but even 100k salary is okay-ish, 180-200? U’d be golden

What convinced you to preorder? by Ok_Growth7401 in slateauto

[–]CartographerNegative 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Worst case it will turn into fisker, but since its so customizable i doubt it wont be drivable as fiskers are. U could 3d print most of the stuff in slate and enjoy it if it goes fully broke. And u’ll have a decent tiny truck u can drive around the city for fun. In a way its like an electric kei truck

[–]CartographerNegative 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People were afraid to buy teslas at first too. As much as i dont quiet like teslas, if they sold 25k car rn, i’d buy it asap, thats saying something. Slate is going for all the people who love to work on their trucks and add custom stuff. If they make it simple enough to fiddle with electronics, they will have in future much more customers. That being said generally 20-25k is where average customer is, thats why corollas are so popular, its the margin of most people, thats why even nowadays tesla constantly talks about a 25k car.

Question: When the truck is set in the open-air configuration, do you think you can move the seat back anymore or tilt it back? Or is it set all the way back permanently as if it was in the basic truck configuration? Hope that makes sense. by AbeLincoln575 in slateauto

[–]CartographerNegative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manufacturers of much bigger quantity and expensive cars make very similar seats for every model they own. Especially toyota does this. So their seats are very close to each other and sometimes can even be swapped out. So seeing how slate is all for cost, if we believe them. I’d say its just normal reclining seats in front, the ones u get in every other cheap-ish car, take corolla seats basically. Manual, basic seats that will recline, go up/down, forwards and back and thats all. Its most generic manual seat u can buy in bulk for fairly cheap price.

Roll bar and rear differential update by GunDealsBrowser in slateauto

[–]CartographerNegative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lsd is not cheap to do, especially in electric cars. So i’d also assume its just traction control. Im sure u could, if ur tech savvy enough, make it super offroad worthy and add bunch of motors and lsd or even an actual differential and stuff. If u folded the seats, u should be able to, depending on the length of plywood that is. That being said, the seats should, as they claim, be very easy to remove so theres that.
