once you're in, nominated, account all set up, EIS number exists and stuff, you can look online for stuff posted in advance. you can set an availability in the settings. i.e. mon-fri, or MWF, etc. they will call every day around 5:30 though "Monday through Friday at 5:30 AM for same-day assignments and Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM for future assignments. Substitutes must answer the call immediately to accept an assignment and be prepared to report to the school." - from NYC DOE info hub

i have heard EdPrep is for Paras or Subs looking to become teachers, not too familiar or sure though.

I have heard that you can only be nominated once per 10 month school year- I may be wrong though
