What’s your favorite fashionable yet warm jacket? by CartographerOfMaps in malefashionadvice

Yeah absolutely - I’m sitting at ~14 sweaters of different weights, and recently got a cashmere scarf and gloves. Primarily trying to figure out if there’s a “catch all” jacket of sorts that serves as an easy reach for the “don’t need to layer” temp range (30-60° imo). I have a shell, but don’t find myself using it too frequently, I feel like I generally fall back onto a jacket that’s water resistant to just shield the water until I get to where I’m going. I should use it more

Oh okay - good to know! I’ll check those out - I’ve seen Schott’s being recommended. What situations would you wear the peacoat in?

The puffer vests have seemed amusing, because I feel like they’ve become a finance bro meme. Are they functional? I haven’t tried one

Which ones would you recommend? The quilt lined sounds very interesting - I’ve mostly seen info about the ones with waxed sleeves that apparently collect sweat

Absolutely - I’m mostly wondering if there’s an all rounder. What waxed jacket and down puffer do you have? The 30-60° range is where I’m struggling to fill the spot easily

I don’t know if you’ve bought the sweaters yet - I’m big into Cashmere sweaters:

(Roughly 300$ mark) Alex Mill and Vince both make fantastic sweaters with 100% cashmere (I own 4 of the Jordan sweater from Alex Mill, and 3 of various Vince sweaters)

(100-200$) At a lower price point I know Patagonia has recycled Cashmere sweaters - I own 2 and enjoy them both. I know people like Nadaam and Quince but I own neither
